Nottingham Campground

this is a beautiful campsite located right on the east fork river, and while most things you read about it will lead you to believe that it's a quiet place for tent camping, do not be fooled. Lots of rv campers and large groups make this more of a car camping feel. You will find it very difficult to land one of the better sites during the main camping season. If your looking for a secluded, more remote feel, I do not recommend stopping here.

Campsites, roads, toilets all in excellent condition. The campground is managed by Lost Lake Resort and the Forest Service, expect both to visit your site each day. Our Host, Art, was great! The northern trail out of the campground was blocked in many places. It also looked like there was a backpacker camp just past the northern most campsite, judging by the fresh human flower farm and exuberant amount of toilet paper... blech! This campground started to fill up fast as the weekend approached. Sites can't be reserved online until 2016.

Loved being so close to hood river. Clean batbrooms. Nice camp host. Some of the camp areas are small. And too close together. Wish there were some hiking trails right off the camp. We found a trail across the river... Not sure where it led. But looked used by hikers and mountain bikers.
