This area can be quite peaceful and serene if you go at the right time. I usually go in the early morning just as the sun is getting ready to rise on weekends or right after work on weekdays. My reason is that there can be lots of people riding dirt bikes or atv's and it can detract from the quiet get away I am looking for. Also, the later in the summer it gets, the more garbage (beer cans, fishing line, hooks, etc.) Can be found. I like to take my dog with me and it has become unsafe with the amount of hooks and discarded powerbait lying around. It, sadly, become kind of a dump towards the end of summer. There are lots of fish if you get there quickly after they plant it. Otherwise, there are some people who will take much more than their limit of 5 fish. Also, towards the end of summer, about 7 out of every 10 fish I caught had works growing on them. If you plan to keep any fish I would recommend giving them a good once over before putting them on your stringer.

I like taking my kids here to kayak, but it has been a party destination for many years and there is lots of broken glass. With the restructuring, we will see what happens.

Great private area. Awesome views. The campsite look awesome around the lake and all kinds of trails and staging areas for mountain biking and dirtbiking. Everything from expert trails to easy.

Great riding and staging areas. Beautiful landscapes to ride through. Some trails not marked well and a lot of rocks and roots in the corners. Typical nw woods riding, but really pretty.

Relatively quiet, and quite beautiful. A number of big trucks diving back and forth with super bright lights into the night, though.
