This has become my new favorite spot in Calgary! I go to the gym here and also do my grocery shopping—it’s super convenient. The place is peaceful, not too crowded, and has a relaxed vibe. They’ve recently upgraded, so now there are more food options and plenty of parking. Definitely a great spot!
nnThey are working really hard to revitalize this mall and the entire surrounding area, and honestly, I think it’s paying off. Every time I come by, I notice new changes, and it’s been exciting to watch the progress.nnWhat stands out most is the mix of restaurants and shops being added. There’s a nice variety — casual spots, sit-down restaurants, and everyday essentials — so you can make a full outing of it. The new builds feel modern and welcoming, and the overall atmosphere is steadily improving.nnAccessibility is good here: the main walkways are wide and easy to navigate, there’s plenty of parking, and the entrances are convenient for families, strollers, or anyone with mobility needs. The area feels cleaner and safer than it has in years, which makes a big difference for both daytime visits and evenings out.nnIt’s rare to see this much effort go into revitalizing a space in Calgary, and it’s refreshing to see real progress. Highly recommend stopping by if you haven’t been in a while — you’ll be pleasantly surprised at how far it’s come, and it looks like there’s even more to look forward to.
Lots to do in there.nI particularly liked the health food store that's in there.nThe burger place was okay.. but lacked flavor so it really wasn't for mennBut anyways there's a lot of stuff to do in that plaza you could easily spend about 4 hours there and not get bored
It's an old Wal-Mart and a Best Buy that used to be much more appropriately called Future Shop separated by a long hallway lined with vacant space and the odd shop that's going out of business soon whether they realize it or not. Oh and there's condos, now too...human filing cabinet style.nnNorth Hill is widely considered the most disappointing of Calgary's malls, but I beg to differ. People actually go there. To do what, exactly? Nobody truly knows.nnI can say with confidence that for the last 20 years, Northland has been the place where retail goes to die in NW Calgary.nnAlso, not one of the better Walmarts.nnTwo stars:nnOne for the WalmartnOne for the Future Shop... Best Buy... whatever.nnCan't give a star for anything else because it be gone by the time I was done writing this review.
Good overall but not the best. However, it's growing fast, many new restaurants, shops have already been opened and many new are opening soon as well.
