Great place for shopping in the North West quadrant of Calgary. It has a fine selection of stores and shops as well as Safeway for grocery shopping.nnMany seniors prefer to come for a good walk around when it's freezing outside.nnThere's a medical center a few hundred meters away which is great for everyonennThe Bay store which closed recently was one of my best destinations!
Market mall Calgary 8/10 for a mall. Seems like a fancy winter jacket wearer kinda mall over the sweat suit senior indoor walking or we smoke inside mall. Haha best mall in the nwnJust opened Marshall’s but no indoor access.
Extremely disappointed with Market Mall due to their parking management. I visited the mall today as a legitimate customer, yet I received a parking ticket for “unauthorized parking” despite having proof of my purchase and presence on the property. This is completely unfair and stressful for customers.nnIt’s very upsetting to come to a mall, spend money, and then be treated like a violator. Market Mall should ensure their parking system is accurate and not penalize paying customers. I hope they fix this issue immediately, but for now, I cannot recommend visiting if you want a hassle-free experience.
Gong Cha place has a variety of teas, milkshakes, smoothies and Boba tea options.nThe service was great, I tried Matcha Boba tea with crème brûlée, it was just good, not too sweet and just tye right amount of creamy. The other caramel milk tea with crème brûlée was super delicious and refreshing.
I stopped at Market Mall because it is directly across the street from my job. I pulled into a parking stall on the edge of the property, stayed inside my vehicle, had a coffee, and was doing legitimate work-related tasks — paperwork, phone calls, and arranging a homeowner walkthrough for the following day. I was not loitering, bothering anyone, or interfering with mall operations. I hadn’t even exited my vehicle.nI was approached by mall security and told I had to leave because the parking lot was “closed after 9:00 PM.” What made this interaction extremely confusing and uncomfortable was the fact that there were still many vehicles throughout the parking lot, with people clearly remaining on the property. Nothing about my behavior differed from what others were doing, yet I was the only one asked to leave.nNo explanation was provided as to why I, specifically, was being removed while others were allowed to stay. No signage was pointed out, and no concern about my conduct was raised. The situation felt selective and targeted, especially given the obvious inconsistency in enforcement.nI understand that Market Mall is private property and that security has discretion. However, when a rule is applied to one individual while clearly not being applied to many others at the same time, it creates a strong perception of prejudice or unfair treatment.nI hope that mall management and security can review how this is handled and be more flexible with people who are not causing harm to anyone. It is common for people to briefly park in large parking lots to do simple paperwork or make phone calls, and this activity does not negatively affect anyone. It would be greatly appreciated if attention and enforcement efforts were focused where they truly belong.
