I’ve been shopping at Nordstroms at The Westchester for many years and today I had a wonderful experience that I felt was worth sharing . I’m going to a couple of weddings and needed a few pairs of dress socks. I had been to another men’s store snd was blown away by a pair costing $24 ! I couldn’t and wouldn’t spend that much for a pair of socks and while I guessed that Nordstrom’s prices would be comparable, I was pleasantly surprised that they had similar socks but priced three pairs for $30. I was thrilled but to my disappointment, I could only find two pairs at that price. To my relief, Susan, one of Nordstrom’s salespeople, asked if she could help. She looked in the storeroom and returned with the following offer, she’d sell me the two pairs for $10 each so I’d get the sale price ! I was thrilled and as a result I also bought a new L.L.Bean jacket that will replace my ragged North Face! I was impressed that Nordstrom’s has some great prices and while I’ve often shopped at the Nordstrom Rack, I think a smart shopper might get some great bargains and high quality clothing at Nordstrom’s!
Is there a requirement to hire unprofessional and rude employees at this location? I’ve walked in on numerous occasions to get a few gifts and every time, I get some sort of condescending attitude. Victoria, in particular, has a huge ego for I don’t know what reason. I mean, she’s just a sales person at a chain store, relax. Her customer service is awful. I don’t know whether she needs to be educated to act like a civilized human being or just flat out fired. She’s cursed, yelled, and even threatened customers, me included. I don’t know who the hiring manager was that put her in a service oriented role but, you need to reevaluate your employees and management plan. I’m tired of going into this store and being treated this way. Might as well replace her with a self scan kiosk. It would probably be more efficient. Best believe HR will be hearing about this.
Great place for children’s clothes!! The return, pickup desk is flawless and Anthony the manager is very approachable and so nice to chat with! The cosmetics section is always ready to help! Always love coming to the mall and visiting Nordstroms! The shoe and handbag department is lacking brands : but they will order what they don’t have!
The cosmetics counter is as alluring as always and an excellent place to test before you buy. Aside from that there is nothing in here that you can't get for less somewhere else. Two out of the 3 elevators are out of service and have been for weeks. I guess they don't sell enough $200 sweaters to afford to fix it.
This rating is based solely on the cosmetics counters. Good luck getting assistance in a timely fashion. I'm not unreasonable but a 47 minute wait when I'm one of 2 customers is not timely to me. On 3 seperate visits the wait was similar. On 2 visits I was told to use Google when I asked for product info. Head across the mall to Neiman Marcus. Service is almost instant and the salespeople know their products. They are delighted to share info with you. Overall better experience. Prices on cosmetics, skin care are the same unless Nordstrom is having a promotion so don't be discouraged thinking Neiman Marcus is pricier.
I used to park close to Nordstrom to get a few things before going into the mall, and they would always waive the parking for me. Apparently, now, they will not do it without opening up a Nordstrom credit card... I feel that is ridiculous. I spend a lot of money and they can't even waive the $3-$4 parking? Done coming here.
I have been shopping at Nordstroms for many years but it looks like they may be on the way out. I purchased an expensive handbag as a birthday present. I asked when I purchased it if I could have it gift wrapped. I was assured that if I took it to the “customer experience center” they would be happy to help me. After the purchased the handbag I went over to the “customer experience” counter and ask to have the present warped. The young man at the counter promptly stated “we ain’t got no box for that”. I said that if it could not be warped I would have to return it as it was a present. I thought that perhaps he might at that point make an effort. The effort he made was to promptly take my receipt and refund the purchase. I asked if he was not going to make an effort to save the sale. No response. I walked across the Westchester and purchased the same designer bag for the same price from Neiman Marcus. The sales person could not have been more accommodating and had the bag boxed and wrapped while I waited. I sent and email to Nordstrom and the response was call the store manager. No name, no phone number. Sad to say but I find a retail store that used to pride itself on customer service has sunk to this level.
Love the perks at the store and quality of products but hate the parking fee lol. Sometimes I think the parking people pocket the cash you give them they pretend to stick the parking ticket and sometimes leave the gate open you just hand them the cash? Do they pick or choose who they do it to? Change my view.
I needed a suit for a wedding… I went to see Rod in the men’s department and he took great care of me. He listened to my wants very closely, took my measurements and got me fitted/measured into precisely the right suit for me in about 45 minutes. He also helped me select the right shirt and tie. Overall, a great experience with wonderful service and friendly prices.
Amazing place organized and clean you can find all you need for your home and family I really recommend this place
