I've had difficulty figuring out where to begin this review. I reckon it's likely best to begin as most of us do, with breakfast. I have not ever had a breakfast item off the menu that didn't leave me splendidly satisfied. That said, I've never had a pizza nor chicken sandwich that I didn't love either. One of the biggest reasons why I will keep walking into this restaurant is the customer service. The food could be half as good, and I'd still come just because the staff is hospitable. A secondary reason is that their menu changes throughout the year. I love to see what the leadership and kitchen keep conjuring up!
Nice little place with decent food. Went for Sunday brunch. It's easy to find, but parking can be a nightmare. Our server was very attentive and made sure we were good. I would recommend making a reservation if you want to sit at a table. The food was decent although I was not impressed with the $15 chicken wings. The French toast was delicious! I would visit again and try other menu items.
This is a nice place to go to when you’re in the North Loop area. Service was great and the interiors are beautiful. I knocked off 1 star because the food wasn’t really impressive especially for the prices. On paper it sounds great, but the execution wasn’t quite there.
Spectacular place! The food was unique and scrumptious. The gluten free pizza was perfect. Highly recommend the expresso creme brulee. Maggie took excellent care of us. She is friendly and up beat and professional. We will definitely be back.
They have a great happy hour; their food rotates a bit. Their grilled shrimp were some of the best I’ve had “up north”. They also have a lobster fried rice which is a perfect small portion and flavorful. They have nicely-sized wine pours and a vibrant energy. A few drinks and happy hour food is typically $20-$40.
This restaurant was suggested by a bartender at another place and was worth the visit. We went on a Tuesday night and a reservation is suggested. My dinner was the coconut curry seafood stew which turned out to be my best meal visiting Minneapolis but I am a big fan of curry. The waitress was great. Good beer list I guess that the IPA crowd hasn't gone that far West which was awesome unlike my own state.
If you need to wait for a table upstairs, I highly recommend going downstairs to their basement bar. Even if you don't drink, there's plenty of seating and space to dance if you're into that! They also play trivia on the TV screens, so it's something fun and easy to pass the time. Even though I went with a large party, the service was very quick and very attentative. It was packed when we went, but they still made time for us. Everyone received their food in a timely manner. Their pasta was okay. I don't think I would get their pasta again as it had a sour taste to it. It's just not my personal cup of tea. However, the pizza is some of the best pizza I have ever had. I would go back just for a slice! I definitely recommend their nachos as well! It's different and a fun twist on a classic Americs dish. Overall, I had a great time at NOLO's!
Wonderful brunch. Potato chips were delicious. Sweet potato hash with poached eggs was so awesome. Avacado toast with red pepper sauce and greens were wonderfully flavorful.
Staff was very friendly! The atmosphere was modern and chill. Went around happy hour time, the Tito's martini was mostly just Tito's : . Had to ask for more salt, pepper, and parmesan cheese for my pasta, but that's cause I like my food more spiced. Thankfully the delivered on that. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian pasta and burger option Wheelchair accessibility: Entry door is sidewalk level
This place exceeded the reviews. Sometimes it's difficult to put into words the way certain experiences just leave you wishing you could share with your network in person just to see their reactions. This place was spot on from the service to the food. A must stop for any foodie. The Burrata was smooth and so perfect in this appetizer. The pizza crust was crisp and soft all at once. A great slice for those who love the folded slice. I wanted to sample everything on the menu tbh. Job well done to the staff and owner for putting a place like this together.
