Well it's not the Bunkers it once was. Extremely limited menu actually no menu at all. Chicken strips or a burger. And that's it. Very understaffed for a Friday. The bartender was the cook and the waitress. She was excellent despite not having support. She knew her customers. The two items we ordered were good. The place was clean. If you are looking for dinner selections this place is not for you. However if good drinks and free popcorn excite you Bunkers has you covered they also have live music .
If you are looking for a real music bar, stop looking, you find it! When 3 nights in a row on a business trip. Cheap but strong drinks, I wish I had a place like that in my own town!
Real life Uptown Funk! Electric saxophone was great, wild guitar solos and money flying everywhere! Plus free popcorn and good beer. What a neat little joint for listening to music. Parking in the back.
Best live music joint in town!
Historic venue! Great sound & has been home to many local & national acts!
Cool vibe, but $9 ?!?! for a pint of beer from breweries within a mile or two from there. Big cover charge, didn’t start until 9:40, kind of a bummer.
I want to give it 5 stars for some things and zero for a couple others. I came here twice. Once on Friday, which was great, and again on Saturday which was fun but personally uncomfortable. The good is the service, the music and the burger. This is a dance place and both bands I saw were above average, solid dance bands. The crowd is mostly straight 40's + Nicely multi racial. I notice that other reviews set the age group older and maybe younger. Maybe it varies a lot depending on the day? There was a shift to younger from Friday to Saturday. The OK are the prices. $10 cover. $8.50 for a whiskey. Beer is good and better priced. The burger is the only thing on the menu, served with potatoe chips. Good meal at a good price. Wish I could have subbed the chips for pickles, but... The negative is the pushy, drunk group of straight males on the music side of the bar. To a certain extent on both sides of the well. A few of us got pushed off our stools and in my case, a drunk dude decided that my drink was his. During the show time there were 5 people behind the bar working their butts off and one brave woman played cocktail waitress. Nobody bothered with crowd control so the walk space on both sides of the bar gets clogged up. Maybe they need a fire department visit?
Dr. Mambo Combo rocked the house tonight. Great music great people and awesome staff. A real treat on this beautiful full moon eclipse night
We have been coming to Bunkers for 2 decades and have fond memories. Their "drink clearing" policy is questionable. They keep you ordering new drinks by clearing away the old drinks while they are half FULL. Be better Bunkers!!! There are more ethical ways to make money.
Bunker's NEVER fails! Each time we visit Minneapolis! Great Live Music, Good Drinks, Great Company we always get to meet the Musicians that make our visits to Minneapolis worthwhile! The Ambiance is Exciting yet Comforting and even the Popcorn is Good lol. When in Minneapolis Bunker's is a Must!
