As a long time customer ,I can't say a bad thing about Joe, or his dad. I've never purchased a gun, so I can not comment on that side of the business ,but I buy all my fishing gear here. I often find myself at the store way longer than anticipated due to getting into conversations with Joe. They can, no doubt ,come off as stand off'ish, but they are actual nice people. Aa far as prices. Prices are prices. If you don't like the price, don't buy it. If you can find it somewhere else, go buy it somewhere else. Sorry, I can't say anything bad about this place.

Horrible experience today! I just opened the door and got in and a big fierce looking dog started to growl at and charge me! It was about 1 inch away from my legs and I had to place my big shoulder bag between my legs and the dog. The owner and a male cashier were there, but they didn't do anything to help me even after I told them I was afraid of the dog and I was literally trembling! I asked them to take the dog away. They wouldn't listen!!! They only said the dog wouldn't bite. I didn't dare to move at all, and the dog just lay right in front of me. While I was waiting for my turn to get my fishing license, a 2nd dog showed up. Both dogs barked at me when I wasn't doing anything. The store owner and his man were very unhelpful! They can't let dogs run loose in the store to scare people. I agree with others for calling them douchbags!! I would never go back there again and I asked my hubby not to shop there!

The individuals running it can be stand offish but they are old school so I expected it. Purchased two firearms from them and have zero issues. They have worked with me and I will continue to purchase from them. I'm happy.
