Easiest online and in person ordering for my business. Edwardsville location has the very best customer service and sales associates in any Lowe’s I’ve ever visited. I go out of my way to use the Edwardsville location.
I have enjoyed shopping at Lowe's for years and have spent over $35,000 in their store totally remodeling an entire house ad yard!nI recently hired their professional services to do siding and they sent one person in winter to do the whole thing.nThere are so many quality issues I can't even begin, then instead of siding under some windows they put aluminum with NO J Track or something and when a large rain came the kitchen ceiling flooded and caved in!nnI have been calling and dealing with their customer service and insurance people and NOT ONE CALL OR EMAIL BACK ever! It's just horrific!nnSTAY AWAY
I have been shopping at the Edwardsville store for many years. After my last three visits, all in one week, I don't think I will be going back. They have removed ALL cashiers at the main checkout. If you want a real person, you have to go to the lumber/contractor checkout, or hope the garden center is open. I am a big fan of self-checkout, for small items, not for bulky, heavy items. I voiced my concerns to the person overseeing the self-checkout, and they confirmed what I was seeing. The only reason I keep going back is because I purchased a $500 gift card that I need to spend down. I refused to buy the gift card at a self-checkout, because gift cards often fail to activate properly and I wanted a cashier to process it. I had to wait at the customer service desk and have them check me out. I will visit the nearby Wilkes-Barre store to see if they have made the same changes. If they have, I will be shopping at Home Depot from now on.
In March, I purchased A lawn mower for the upcoming summer season. Because it was my first new lawnmower in a long time, I got the warranty for an additional $40. After 10 runs, the lawnmower began to give me trouble. So, because I had a warranty on it, I took it back to the store. After waiting a week for the lawnmower to come back from repair center, I received the phone call saying that it was ready, and now I had an outstanding balance to get my lawnmower back of $99. I was informed that they sharpened the blade, clean the carburetor, replace the fuel, etc. Unfortunately, the SPARK PLUG wasn't covered. So, Lowes ripped me off by charging me $99 to replace a freaking spark plug. $80+ 'labor' for a 2 minute job to replace a $8 spark plug, plus tax. The customer service employee was even rude when I asked why I was being charged so much, saying I was lucky it was only $99, because they gave me a DISCOUNT from the $130 they were GOING to charge me.nFornAnSparknPlugnSo, why the hell did I even bother getting the warranty when I could have just spent an additional $30 and got myself a brand new mower?nNot only will I never coming back here, but I will never be shopping at any Lowe's again. Home Depot has better prices and a better selection, anyway. Plus, I might be going home right now to call the Better Business Bureau because this was not disclosed to me why I initially took out the warranty, and Lowes makes it unnecessarily difficult to lookup and review the warranty information yourself.
I like shopping at Lowe’s bc the store is usually clean, organized and there’s always someone there to help you, unlike other big stores. I usually go there for plants and garden items. I like the garden department the most bc the plants are healthy, they have a big variety and the guy in charge of the garden is always taking care of their plants.
