Nicey's Eatery is a must-visit for anyone looking for delicious Caribbean cuisine. Although currently only offering take-out, the experience was still exceptional.  The food was absolutely fantastic, particularly the ox tail and the spicy beef patties. The ox tail was slow-cooked to perfection, with a rich and flavorful sauce that was the perfect balance of sweet and savory. The rice and beans complimented the dish perfectly. The spicy beef patties were crispy on the outside and filled with a spicy and flavorful filling, as great appitizer to start off your meal.  The service was top-notch, I believe it was the owner who was on hand to answer any questions I had and make sure I was having a great experience for my first visit. He was knowledgeable about the menu and offered great recommendations, which made my take-out experience even better.  I was also impressed with the attention to detail and overall quality of the food and service, even in a take-out format. It was clear that the owners take great pride in their establishment. I look forward to coming here more often, especially when dine-in reopens.

Got the jerk chicken sandwich. Which was served on coco buns which were very soft and light.. jerk chicken had earthy flavours and coleslaw was creamy. Only suggestion I can say maybe coleslaw should be shredded instead of finely chopped. so it crunchy as well. Good-Cheap-Fast

Not sure if the quality of the food has gone down since the viral video, but from what I've tasted it is definitely not worth braving a winter storm for. I got to try a small jerk chicken and a small ox tail and no flavours really jumped out at me, they also don't offer coleslaw with their dishes.  I ordered online for pick up in which they told me it'll be ready in 35 mins, got there only to find out they haven't started preparing my food yet and had to wait another 30 mins.

I really understand the hype… Price-Portion-Quality is outta the park for me. I ordered the jerk chicken meal with oxtail gravy and it was delicious. I appreciated that the place was clean and the customer service was nice. I can’t wait go to back and try out some more

It’s not the best Caribbean food I’ve had, especially with all the options around the area. But I can see the appeal of the place, with the drive through and affordable prices. It gives off a fast food vibe.  My main concern is the how dry everything is, as they do not provide much gravy. I will ask for extra gravy next time, but I felt it should be the standard. The vegetables seems like those store brought frozen bags of mix greens. The rice felt like it was cooked and left in a tray. The chicken was good though.

What a rip off! I ordered a large jerk chicken for $15.99 and a large ox tail for 20.99$. The serving would have probably filled a regular box. The chicken was dry and had no gravy, little rice and a whole lot a sadness at the money we paid for this. Should have ordered someplace else.  "Updating this review in response to the reply.  I can recommend 100 better places than this for taste, flavor and quality. Please take a look at the image and the quantity of food served for a large tray. It was hardly enough for one person, the chicken was so dry and there was hardly any gravy. I would recommend that you try a few other places that serve Carribean food before claiming that you serve the best in town."

I. Love. Nicey's. I'm so happy they got the well-deserved fame from the viral video; they're a Scarborough staple and for good reason. Unlike other restaurants, they have kept their prices fair 13.55 after taxes for a very filling jerk pork meal, and their food continues to be delicious.  I do wish I could get it a little spicier, but this won't stop me from going back over and over again.  Do yourself a favour and get Nicey's over the McDonalds that shares the plaza; so much more filling and worth it for the $$$.

Excellent portions and yes you can order white meat only for additional charges. Not as good as the food from prior location on Morcambe Gate Scarborough.  Seems the method of preparation may have changed. Oxtail gravy ad rice and peas on point. Sometimes not enough gravy for all that rice. Fry dumplings great with meal as a side. Careful when ordering delivery as they sometimes send dark meat when you clearly ordered white meat. They always have to check to see if they have any white meat as if they have no idea what their clients desire. You must call ahead if you require white meat or you may have driven to the restaurant for nothing. I’ve been a customer for decades. The finally realized some like breast jerk chicken and they can earn more by serving it. Still would recommend to anyone as one of finest values. Food is 4/5. Taking a point off for the wait time combined with the fact that the jerk chicken and jerk pork were done at 1pm. Got here at 1pm on a Saturday ordered an oxtail meal. Asked for a pound of jerk pork and was told there was no more jerk pork. Then ordered a pound of jerk chicken the lady taking my order added it then the other cashier came over and said no the jerk chicken is done now too. Ended up ordering some jerk chicken wings which they still had.  Then had to wait for close to 20/25 mins to get the food.  The food was ok and the oxtail could have been cooked a bit more. This makes me appreciate Food Kulture Bistro that much more their food is always fall of the bone goodness.  No I don’t have any stake in that place, they are just the best hole in the wall jerk spot in Scarborough.

The chef/management must have changed because I used to treat myself to the large veggie meal that had a soya stew with veggies served on rice & peas that was so tasty and a good sub for when I didn't want to prepare it myself...  Well fast forward to the present and let me tell you, all I taste is tomato paste and blandness   .  No lie, the flavors taste like cafeteria food at best, not a single West Indian spice or flavor to be found.  And what's up with the unseasoned frozen peas/corn/carrots medley? For the price of this meal fresh Jamaican style cabbage and carrots is the least you all can do... Anyway, lost me as a weekly customer ‍ guess it's a sign that I got food @ home
