I bought two boots online and just tried on once. They are too small to me so I decided to return them back. The manager in shoes department refused to get a refund to me because she thought that the “condition” that I just tried them on will influence their second sale. What she asked me to do is to get it return online rather than return my order in her department. In fact, she just did not want to take the responsibility of my order obviously. This is my first time to return my order in Neiman Marcus of White Plains. I am so disappointed with the response of the manager. She did not consider my experience as a customer but only her sales.
A+ Experience Always! I just Googled the White Plains store for the hours and then started reading the Google reviews. I wanted to share my long time experiences. I've been shopping at Neiman's for over 15 years and have never had a negative experience. I shop mostly in Mens but also buy gifts throughout the store. Not once have I had a negative experience - I am by no means a "big spender". I've always received great Customer Service regardless of how much I am spending. ...Seeing some of these negative reviews...I have to say, they must be overly embellished or possibly even made up! Don't believe everything you read!
Less than 30 days ago, I purchased a pair of Chanel sunglasses in person at the White Plains location August 6, 2022, from the loveliest sales people. When I purchased the glasses, the left arm was crooked and did not fit my face very well. Since I adored the glasses and they were not available to purchase online and the pair I liked was the only one in store, the sales person suggested I take the glasses to a Lens Crafter’s for proper fitting and adjustment. Two days later, I brought them to a Lens Crafter, but the glasses stretched farther out and the store suggested I do not attempt to fix the glasses and return due to an improper, faulty fit. The glasses continued to stretch outward every time I attempted to place them on my face due to a faulty left arm mechanism. As a result, I sent my husband to return the glasses on September 4, 2022, within the 30 day policy. I could not locate the receipt for some reason, but provided the date and bank charge information. After a back and forth of two hours, the salesperson treated my husband with a curt and callous manner and a deep lack of professionalism. She explained to him that the glasses have been worn, yes, for nearly two hours in the store on 8/6/22 and for a day after purchase until the glasses became completely defective. I will not name the salesperson on the internet, but happy to share it with anyone who wants to avoid an encounter with such an unethical salesperson. The salesperson told my husband he needs the receipt, I explained to him to tell them I unfortunately could not locate it and had exact purchase date, time, and bank statement. She was unwilling to assist locating the receipt and refused to look it up until a manager arrived. Once a manager arrived, she also denied the return. I was on the phone with my husband and was certain that once the salesperson heard my experience, she would grant the return. However, I overheard the salesperson tell my husband she was in the middle of a transaction with a customer and would speak to me but under NO circumstance would grant a return or take them back. At that moment, I could tell this experience was contentious on her part and certainly not built on the exceptional customer service Neiman Marcus was known for, for over a century. I decided to go in person the following day Labor Day, to show the manager that there is no way the glasses could have been worn because they do not fit on nor go on my face, the left arm of the glasses were incredibly stretched and crooked. Unfortunately for myself, the same sales person was working and she fetched a new male manager for me having already prompted him not to take my return, and sadly for me, the new manager tried to discredit me and accuse me of a lack of integrity. This time, he refused the sunglasses not because they had been worn, as they representative the day prior stated, but this time because they are defective and not in a condition to be sold. I explained the glasses have not been worn, are defective and I’d be happy with a credit to purchase another pair. He refused to accept the return , even though within the window, and insinuated that I damaged them in some way. My first credit card was opened in 2004, a Neiman Marcus card. After nearly two decades of purchases, I’ll be closing the card tomorrow and never shopping at this brand which no longer thrives on it customer service. My advice to the company is to cease spending money on its digital platform and invest funds on training their salespeople to treat consumers with the ethos they deserve. I purchased a defective pair of Chanel sunglasses that can not be worn for $606.90. I write this review in attempt to provide honest consumers a chance to save their money and shop elsewhere.
I made two purchases of Christian Louboutin shoes as a gift for my wife on 11/30/22, I returned one pair as they were too small. I exchanged the pair and was told that I should receive them by 12/05/22 by mail. Not only have I not received said shoes, when I called customer service I was told that I would be contacted by the store. Not only have I not received a call but when I called the store no one picked up the phone.
Purchased a $500 plus bag and the assistant lady scammed me. They are not reliable with their words. Very sad that something like this can happen at a reputed store like Neiman Marcus.
I’m so very happy with all the purchases made at this Neiman Marcus location in white plains mall. Check it out to whomever reads my little review, ask for Audrey Servillo, she works in the mens department. She’s an excellent addition to the NM family. She’s professional, works exceptionally hard to make sure you as a customer is totally pleased, she reaches out and keeps her promises, she’s highly knowledgeable regarding the merchandise, she’s very good at what she does. Me and my wife are pleased collectively being customers of Audrey. Thank you so very much!
BUYER BEWARE: In February I purchased a Shoshanna dress from for my daughters wedding in August. The dress was $800.00. It is now June and my daughter has called off her wedding. The dress is still on the original hangar it arrived on, in the original plastic bag with all tags attached. Never worn! I have been told there are NO EXCEPTIONS to the 30 return policy!! For a high end store to not work with their customers individually I find beyond offensive! I would like to call Neiman Marcus’ management’s attention to the fact that NORDSTROM works with their customers on a case by case basis and has no time limit!! Neiman Marcus’ refusal to work with a customer that has spent $800.00 is appalling and inexcusable. I feel completely taken advantage of and will shop at NORDSTROM’S from now on!! I will never shop at Neiman Marcus again!!

Update: I heard from the Store manager within minutes of my prior review. She was very accommodating and understanding and I received a full refund. I am very happy with the efforts of the Neiman Marcus team in Westchester, NY in making this situation right. I will shop at Neiman Marcus again. Thank you May, Tricia and team!
The usual high end department store, feels deserted and a bit sad.
