National Car Rental

Kai was quite friendly, but it did not make up for the worst National experience I've ever had. I rent a car every week with National locations and expect to be able to choose either a premium model or large vehicle from the Executive area. There were literally zero cars available. I had to wait a moderate amount of time for a "compact SUV" to be provided. I didn't have a choice of any other model. Management needs to quickly figure out how to fix this location, likely including hiring more staff and buying more cars.

Terrible experience. Waitied at the line in front of the National desk and when it was my turn, they told me to go line up at the Alamo line. There were no signs anywhere indicating this. After a 40 min wait, was finally at the front of the line. Then was told to go back to the National desk to wait to be called. Meanwhile I saw others waiting in the National line and they were being helped instead of being told to line up in the Alamo line. This is absolutely ridiculous.

One of few disappointing experiences renting with National. The emerald aisle and executive areas were empty. There was only one vehicle in the premier area that they were unable to find the keys for. The operating hours are also more limited compared to the other rental companies.

Exceptional services. The manager sent a note to see if everything went well during the reservation/pick up of the car process. They also offer drinks/cockles at the drop off location for appreciating customers for the business.

Recently switch corporately from a competitor to National. I am blown away at the difference in service experience. Emerald Aisle is amazing, their level of customization before, during and after the rental experience is outstanding. A case study in turning a mundane and often frustrating aspect of business travel into a positive. Well done.

Really easy pick up and drop off. Car was perfect and exceeded all expectations. I was supposed to pick up from the south terminal but was accommodated at the terminal I landed at without hassle or extra cost.

I had a phenomenal experience at this location. Khalifa, the guy at the booth, went over and beyond in helping me out. He assisted me in answering all of my questions and helped me in selecting the best car in the lot! He was super polite, kind, and helpful. Definitely recommend him and this location for your next car rental!

Have Executive Elite. Never had issues any airport getting suv in the emerald aisle. Guy wouldn’t even try to get me one here.

We arrived late in the day, and the car we had rented was too small for our needs a standard SUV, as we had 4 passengers, 4 suitcases and 2 walkers. The staff immediately brought out a large SUV Dodge Durango, that easily fit ourselves, our luggage and the 2 walkers. There was no charge for the upgrade, and the vehicle really enhanced our vacation experience. Check-in and check-out were a breeze. The location was convenient, as one of the passengers was elderly, but could still walk to the location. I would highly recommend National at the Vancouver airport.
