There is slow, and then there is really slow. Back wards way of doing things, single server and then you are in a pile waiting for the guy to get your car. Don't rent from here, easy too ineffective and ineffecient. Sadly they had the best price on Costco. There has to be a better way, would be nice if they made you feel we mattered . Increased the rating one star later on because the car was beautiful, new and clean.

I forgot a parking tag inside the vehicle, and the conversation by email was quick, and focused to solve the issue. Thank you! We had such a good time in Vancouver!

We rented a car for 15 days at Alamo, chose the intermediate gold package and the experience was really good. An almost brand new car with less than 50k on the clock. Yes, at the counter when picking up the car it took a while before it was our turn but in retrospect they want to make sure everyone and everything is alright before driving away. They take the time to go through every form. The signs placed in the parking garage to direct you to the drop-off point are very clear and easy. When returning the car they handle it very quick and for extra questions they have a booth ready for help.

I rented an intermediate SUV from YVR location late evening for 4 days and had a positive experience. Quick service on picking up and car return. Staff are friendly. There is not any hidden fee or extra insurance. The staff showed me the final charge on his machine the same as reservation before final payment. It was a clean car. Recommended!

Rented a mid-size SUV at the airport Alamo location in Vancouver a couple of weeks ago. They did not have the vehicle I reserved on their lot so they upgraded me to a luxury car at no charge. When I returned the car I forgot my prescription sunglasses inside and they couriered them to me which was totally appreciated! Highly recommend!

While the staff were friendly and great, I had to wait 2 hours to get my car rental as they were so backlogged. I was already 30 minutes late to grab my car due to flights, so I didn’t get my vehicle until 2.5 hours after my scheduled pick up time. I had asked for a discount and was told I would not be provided one. Avis and Budget appeared to have sufficient vehicles to accommodate all of their bookings and I noted their customers did not have to wait to get their bookings - I will definitely consider going with one of those companies in the future. Update: Alamo was able to give me a discount upon drop off. I contacted the email below and was told they are not able to problem solve regional issues, so I am not entirely sure why they had asked me to take the time to contact them.

Beautiful spacious clean van for a family with two toddlers and a baby. We had a Chrysler Pacifica. Perfect for our family. Friendly staff. Be aware credit cardholder and driver need to be the same. Also there is a deposit off 400 dollars even if you rent through another company. It's standard but you need to know so you don't loose time.

Great rates & awesome customer service! Reserved a car through Costco Travel and Alamo had the best rates by far for our rental period. Booked with snow tires but snow tires were not available on pick up. Alamo car pick-up employee Josh perhaps? offered plenty complimentary upgrade options and we ended up driving safely to Whistler. Pick-up/drop-off experience was smooth - they even had some great complimentary snacks that was a hit with the kids on vehicle drop-off!

Reasonable rates. Booked through Costco Travel. No hassle pick up and drop off at YVR airport. Needed to extend rental twice and was able to do so with no penalty simply by phoning and speaking to a rep. Highly recommended
