When I arrived at the ferry terminal on a long weekend, I called their number, and they promptly arranged a pick up to bring me to their location. It’s not too far from both the terminal and downtown Nanaimo.nnThey offer a wide range of cars on their lot, and despite on a holiday I didn’t have to wait long. The staff here were all quite friendly and professional, much more so than the ones I’ve encountered in Vancouver.nnI reserved a compact car online and received a 2022 Hyundai Elantra with about 53k km on it. The interior was clean, though the car key was a bit rundown from use. When I returned the car, they even offered to take me back to the ferry terminal, which made my trip smooth and stress free.nnI understand the challenges of running a car rental business that has to prioritize profit, so I really appreciate the level of service and professionalism I’ve received. I hope that they keep up the good service
Never have left a review for a RAC. Everyone hates them right!!! Well these guys are awesome used twice in last month. Left a car for us twice at Harbour Air for pickup and dropped once at Hullo and once after hours at there shop. There are very accommodating, very friendly and efficient with the paperwork the next day after return. I think they even have a shuttle during business hours to the ferry terminal, which is walkable if you got lots of time top-notch people highly recommend them. So well done
Had a wonderful experience renting from this location. I called ahead to ask about pickup details and they offered to provide pickup and dropoff of the rental car at the Hullo ferry terminal. The keys to the car were left at the front desk with the Hullo staff, and the car was parked in designated National spots by the ferry terminal. Incredibly convenient option, and I would recommend National to anyone visiting Nanaimo. The car itself was clean and had no issues.
Very friendly service.The stuff even met us at the Nanaimo ferry harbor and took us to our rental car. Everything went smoothly and the return at Victoria airport was quick and smooth as well! A clear 5 Star rating! That's what you want from a car rental company!
The rental started well when they met us at the Hullo Ferry terminal to arrange pickup. After that there were problems, the first one was the car was dirty and smelled of cigarette smoke and we had to call in twice to ensure they would not bill us for this. The second problem was when we noticed a low tire pressure alert on the car while driving. We called this in after noticing the tires all had varying but stable air pressure levels. Several days after turning the car in we were charged for tire repairs with a suspect explanation. Make sure you have insurance if you rent with them and be prepared to have to file a claim. They should not be renting cars with low air pressure and then charging the renter for repair and cost, this is fraudulent and a safety concern.
