National Car Rental

National at the Halifax airport hasn't failed me yet. We rent cars a lot, with National as my go-to provider. Car was perfect. Would highly recommend them to anyone.

The first experience I've had with National that was less than positive. As a customer I expect positive customer service, and assistance in determining the best options for me. Instead I felt like I was more of an inconvenience than anything else for the young lady behind the counter, and I was not happy with the vehicle that I was provided. As an Emerald Club member I would not expect to be told that I should try a different company, but that's exactly what happened. Very different from my previous experience with National, and unpleasant at the counter.

Car that we selected on line was not available so we got the 'comparable'. The car was new & clean but smaller than expected. They wanted $10/day for my wife to be able to drive which was a ridiculous price for using the same car we already rented. I will watch closer on my next rental selection.

I had a great experience with National Car rental. Customer service is really good and very accommodating. I got an upgrade free of charge which was a great bonus to our trip. Thanks National associates for making my trip better :)

Great vehicle and very easy return. Pick up was another thing, there were three of us waiting in line and we all waited over ten minutes while the staff took a phone reservation. Paying customers standing in front of you should always take precedent over a phone call especially when you are tired after a flight and just want to get on your way.
