Ms. T's Southern Fried Chicken

We were looking for a light dinner and stumbled across this place. Liked the menu and it smelled delicious so we tried it. OUTSTANDING!!! We split a two breast meal and added biscuits regular bread is included and Mac and cheese bites. Expect a wait as it’s made to order but so worth it! We asked for butter with the biscuits and she said “honey, they’re infused with butter!” The chicken was amazing, great flavor, tender and juicy. Loved the Carolina Gold BBQ sauce! Generous portions of delicious food. And the entire staff could not have been friendlier or more accommodating. Definitely going back! Note: it’s a very small place with seating for six people so take out is a great option.

Made to order Southern Fried Chicken. I came here for lunch and had chicken wings, fries, and mushroom. Everything here is fried except the desserts. The wings were very salty. They marinate the chicken here and the salt is absorbed in the meat. I guess if you had the chicken breast, it may be less salty. The order took 20 minutes, so I would recommend calling ahead. This is more of a carry-out restaurant, as there are about 5 stools in the front. The place could use better ventilation. The whole time I was there, I felt like I was sitting in the kitchen.

We are always on the hunt for good fried chicken. This spot is one of our favorites now! The fried chicken was juicy and had a crisp skin. The sides were great as well! You should definitely try the fried pickles, and their fries are seasoned perfectly.

Do you like your chicken fried and perfectly tender? Mrs.T's does it right. Got a Perch/Wing combo and made some little fish bread tacos. Don't forget to drip that that sweet mesquite honey tang mustard House sauce everywhere. Positive vibes only

What happened??!! I ordered mixed dark recently and it tasted terrible! Also the pieces were small with very little meat. SO disappointed. They have always been my fried chicken go-to since the owner bought from Harold's. No more. Sad.

Great spot in Lakeview for fried chicken. Ms. T is really nice and always willing to answer any questions you may have. I always get the half dark meat meal. The desserts look good too. Order ahead as everything is cooked to order and take 15-20 minutes.

Now I'm from Texas born and raised and moved to Chicago less than 6 months at the time of writing this and let me tell you... THEY DID WHAT NEEDED TO BE DONE. I was craving catfish and didn't feel like cooking and they reminded me of the restaurants down south with the full body of flavor for each piece of fish, each french fry and each hushpuppy I tore up. All of it was 10/10 and I will HAPPILY be reordering from them in the future. Even when working in the office down I can't wait to try their other menu items! Y'all can have all my coins! Bravo. Take a bow!

Ok, so my first experience at Ms. T's was certainly worth the wait. My chicken was so good child it reminded me of Sunday dinners at my mama's house. I tasted all the sauces but honestly none was needed. The service was good but I suggest you phone in your order if pressed for time. I will order from Ms.T's again and again. Lawd it was lip smacking Good.

Honestly, when I can I am always referring people to this place. If you want good fried chicken/catfish, this is the spot. It’s been one of our go to’s since the pandemic began and the owner is always super sweet. Expect to wait, the food is made fresh. Check it out! Happy to have this gem in the community.

I was excited to try this place since I found it on Yelp. The food in their photos looked delicious. It looks crunchy and flavorful. They have a small place. There are a few tables and chairs inside. They have a chocolate and pie display. I tried their Chicken Wings Bucket and Mixed Chicken Bucket. They have a fast service which my order came really quick. I found their Chicken Wings Bucket was dry for me. The chicken meat on it was not juicy but it was crunchy outside. It's only good if they have a sauce. While their Mixed Chicken Bucket was the best. It's crunchy and juicy. It's really yummy even though it has no sauce on it. I find it really delicious. I recommend you to try this.
