I was in Toronto wearing my fall boots for the first time in a few years when I noticed both soles were cracked pretty badly guess that's what happens when they're in storage in a dry climate and I needed them repaired quickly. I found this place near me that had good reviews and took the boots in to ask what could be done. Mr. Soles gave me two options, along with the costs. I went with the less expensive option with the understanding it would still show the cracks on the side of the sole. He gave me a price - $65 for a pair of $300 boots - and told me to pick them up on Saturday I dropped them off on Wednesday. When I went to pick them up he had forgot to replace the heal taps I had requested last minute, but quickly fixed them in 2 minutes. Overall, I was very pleased with the quality and price! The quick turnaround was very appreciated. The boots feel more stable and look much better. Plus, I can walk in the rain without getting my feet wet! If you're looking for quality repair with a quick turnaround at a reasonable price, I recommend Mr. Soles.
Was always curious about this place every time I go to metro, finally tried when I had to add rubber soles to a pair of new boots. Service was friendly, he showed me a few different options for the sole to choose from, and explained the pricing for each. Ended up being $50 for the bottom and heel portion. Cash only. Took a week to complete and craftsmanship was decent.
You won't regret coming here to fix your boots! Thank you for being honest, approachable, and giving a second life to these boots: a brand new sole and a great clean-up. We definitely recommend!
I have a "leather" backpack that I love, and use everyday, so the stitching on the straps can get loose, as I can be pretty rough with it. I always bring it here to be repaired because they're so nice, and have such reasonable prices. Plus they get the job done quickly!
I brought my favourite pair of shoes in, their soles were worn in a funny way, due to my having flat feet. He knew exactly how to fix them, and also was able to tell that I needed more width on the soles, I have wide feet. After he was done, the shoes were better than they were when I first bought them! Definitely recommend.
I had a very expensive motorcycle jacket and a beautiful Rudsak leather weekend bag that needed new zippers. Fantastic work. I couldn't actually tell that the zippers had been replaced, it looked like new--you really couldn't see how it had been done. Highly recommended.
A couple weeks ago I totalled my new expensive red wings. I waited forever to get them and get a decent sale finally got them a week later I open a door and tear them - massive rip to the liner. Went to Mr. Soles and he fixed them up perfectly for a decent fee and quickly. Appreciate you friend. I’ll come back
I brought in my hiking boot to replace a broken lace hook. My boot was repaired and ready for pick up the very next day. Price was reasonable as well.
I had leather loafers resoled $50 and treated $10. While the shoes look good, I'd asked for the leather to be darker/more copper coloured but it still looks the same. Pointed this out but he said it had been treated. Guess he wasn't careful enough to write down what I wanted.
Ron is the best. He's been taking care of my boots forever. The Red Wings on the left are over 10 years old, and thanks to him they probably have another decade of life in them. I've tried another Cobbler when someone opened a repair shop closer to me. I ended up taking a few articles there, and was never happy with the work. When I started going back to Mr Sole Shoe Repair, I realized why... The quality of his work speaks for itself. I took this photo after recent treatment. The 7 year old pair on the right were in terrible condition and were brought back to life by Ron. Highly recommend.
