We came to celebrate a birthday and tried the stuffed mushrooms. It was pretty good. I wanted some steak since it was a steakhouse so decided on the steak salad. My steak was medium rare but it was tough and had lots of tendons parts which was inedible. The seasoning on the steak was great but the salad was extra saucy. Our waitress, I think her name was shaylee was very friendly and super accommodating as some of the party was a little bit more high maintenance and had too much to drink. I brought a cake in and she was getting it ready for us with plates even without me asking. Price point and quality doesn’t align so personally I wouldn’t visit again. But the service was excellent.
We had a great dinner at Mr Mikes in Coquitlam last night. You can’t really see the rib eye steak underneath the Oscar’s Lobster and Seafood topping, but it was cooked to the perfect temperature rare and SO good The cream cheese sauce for the stuffed mushrooms was also delicious. The two Caesar cocktails I had were seasoned really well and probably the best I’ve had in little while
Food was ok, great fries and vegetables. Steak cooked according to our request. Felt a little expensive. I didn’t enjoy the bruschetta - was a bit “soggy”. My husband also didn’t think he got a good cut of steak for his $46 Rib Eye. We didn’t know what the sauce was as part of the Gaucho style so that’s our fault. It was cilantro base so didn’t enjoy that and pushed it off to the side. Overall presentation of the food didn’t impress me. Great service.
I'm glad we choose to try MR Mikes. We love the bites and drinks for happy hour. Then we thought of splitting an order of steak since it's their specialty. Oh boy, they did not disappoint! The gaucho style is certainly an interesting flavor. Their sticky toffee pudding will make me come back soon. The staff is very friendly and efficient. You will see us again soon
My friend and I came for happy hour. We wanted some drinks and some appys! We arrived at 2:30, I ordered stuffed mushrooms and my friend ordered the Happy H chicken strips. I unfortunately didn’t realize that there was dill in the stuffed mushrooms and they were kind enough to exchange it for chicken strips instead due to an allergy. The chicken strips were yummy and happy hour price was good. I couldn’t get over the fact it smelt like shrimp the whole time though. I wonder if the batter/fryer is used for both chicken and the seafood. Our sangrias were really good, a bit syrupy for me. But delicious for the happy hour price. What I was disappointed in was the fact we came for happy hour and they charged us full prices for our sangrias. I’m sure it was a mistake and I didn’t wanna say anything because I already felt bad about the stuffed mushrooms. But overall I’m sad they didn’t catch the mistake. The only reason I would come back is for the happy hour drinks they are decently priced otherwise the food is just ok. The Resturant is normally pretty empty everytime I have been aswell. There is lots of parking out front by the chapters. And the service was very friendly and efficient
The service was ok but not the food. I ordered rib eye steak and didn't like the food. The side vegetables was dull with no seasoning and meat was chewy and not tasteful. It was also strange that you pay 45$ for steak and they still want to charge you 50 cents for small cup of Frank's sauce!!!Food: 1/5
My wife spent a tremendous amount of time finishing up our taxes and I wanted to go out somewhere special to celebrate. Great food and great people. We love this place.
Great menu and prices are reasonable compared to other popular restaurants in the area. Waitress was fabulous. No complaints with our meals - everything was great tasting
Really good service, our waitress's name was Danni I think and she was so helpful and kind. Prices were reasonable and the food was fabulous . I would definitely recommend going there for lunch. And we had New York Cheesecake for dessert. Really, really tasty .Food: 5/5
My friend and I were there earlier this evening and we did not enjoy it. It has steakhouse in the name but I’ve had better steaks at non steakhouses and paid less for beer there. $8 for a corona is a little ridiculous when I always pay $6-$6.50 everywhere else. My friend had the bacon cheeseburger and it was a round patty on a rectangle roll which she did not enjoy. The bacon was cooked odd and barely had any taste and the fries were all over the place. My steak was cooked perfectly but they pretty much put the herb and garlic butter on the side of the plate next to the steak instead of on top and the steak didn’t taste seasoned at all. I think it’s safe to say we won’t be going back.
