Service was great, very accommodating and considerate. The place itself is warm and has nice ambiance. Whipped feta was a great appetiser, delicious. There were not many people so we found the table with ease. Starter :- Ordered Tuna and Corn chips which was a pretty nice. The drinks were all refreshing as well. It started going downhill from the main course. One order was for Sirloin Steak with Mushroom sauce but the server brought Newyork Steak by mistake with no sauce .He did try to recover it by bringing the mushroom sauce. The fries were cold in Steak and frits . We sent it back and the new hot fries took quite long to arrive ,the Steak was mostly finished by then. Mushroom sauce was good though. In the end ,i found a hair in the table or dish. The service was friendly but still his service was riddled with mistakes. The manager personally came to say we will be charged discounted price and they gave a complimentary brownie. The bill that came was charging us for the complimentary brownie and then they brought a new bill which was correct. Overall,the experience was a below average i would say and needs some communication work.
Had the Chipotle Mango Chicken. Colleague had Vegan Black Bean Tacos Both were excellent! Niki was a great waitress! Removed a star because when paying I was presented with tip options on the credit card machine that started at 18% minimum.
Moxies Newmarket has a really urban chic meets sports bar sort of charm. We were a high table of 8 right in the middle of the main lounge but there were lots of smaller low tables in a variety of settings for smaller groups. The 10oz peppercorn steak I ordered medium well was excellent. Succulent, flavorful and done to perfection. The server Jessica and the hostesses were just paying us just the right amount of attention but knew to leave us alone if we wanted to just talk and order later. We were having so much fun that we hung on and chatted after we paid for another 30 minutes and we were not rushed at all. Highly recommend Moxies at this location.
Came here on a Sun eve - Service was quick and waitress was polite and attentiveThe mushroom steak was quite salty the mushrooms & sauce and the portion of veggies was a little too small for my appetite. I didn’t even get a drink all I had was water and after tax and tip, my bill came to $49.06. Definitely a hefty cost for a salty, small meal My friend ordered the steak salad and though I can’t speak for her and I also didn’t try it, it did look quite good. Hopefully I’ll have better luck next time..
Went for happy hour, decent price and good amount of food. Service was quick and friendly. Went for their happy hours menu and they had a lot of good options. Definitely recommend for a late night snack and drink.
My family & I randomly popped in to Moxies on a Tuesday night & was seated right away! The waitresses were very nice and pleasant. My wife & I had some apps such as the honey garlic wings which were the bomb, the truffled fries which were ok, and the calamari which was over cooked hard so we end up sending it back. My kids had the chicken tenders which they said they loved! For drinks I had a classic mojito & my wife had the Mexican Bulldog which were really good. Their white chocolate brownie was really nice as well. We will definitely return! At the end of our meal the manager came out & took the calamari off our bill & gave us a free dessert which was extremely nice of her to do.
Don’t know what to say really, it seems to be a sign of things since covid, service was not great, food took forever and even though server was apologetic it was as if we should expect it? One of his comments was ‘ I hope at least the food tastes ok’ and then walks away? It’s not just Moxies it’s everywhere and sadly we just seem to be accepting of it, we love Moxies but won’t return for a while
This is the best best and cozy area that you can spend your time. The food has great quality and the stuff really respect. I highly recommend anyone that looking for lovely place that spend time with them family or friends.
Despite us being so late, they accommodated us. The service is great, food amazing and ambience that of fine dining. The bar has closed by the time we arrived, so I can't review the bar but the rest everything was great. The server was diligent enough to ask us if we were doing fine and not too frequent to enquire the same. I would say that was one of the best servers we ever had. Baby short ribs were great and so were the dry ribs, Their mashed potatoes are out of this world. A must try. Apart from a minor hiccup, rest everything went very well. And that hiccup was also very well taken care of. I will return.
