Moxie's Grill & Bar

On one occasion, there was hair in our food and there was very loud screaming & people rapping loudly from the kitchen area which overpowered the ambient music. Are we in a nightclub?! Also my chicken tenders were so overdone they were hard like a rock. This branch needs a real overhaul. We walked in and nobody acknowledged us for several minutes, they were just talking to each other. The staff saw us but chose not to acknowledge us even though we were well dressed and presentable. We we just standing there looking like we were lost. Only until we walked up to a couple chatting with each other did they seat us. We told them that we were standing looking like fools and they were unapologetic and did not care. What kind of treatment is this??!! In fact I'm about to get up and leave this place!!!s

Not a bad place. It's the typical Moxie's experience. The food is good and predictable. The inside decor is very cool and stylish. I very much appreciated the younger crowd. A great place to go before (or after) a movie. The location seems to be brand new as it still smelled a bit like drywall. Anyways, we had several plates - the Beef Vindaloo is mediocre, don't bother because it is not typical Desi cuisine and doesn't come close to say a Nirvana. The sticky pudding dessert was really REALLY good - probably the best I've had. The smashed avocado salad/nachos was very strange. It tasted great but it comes with a person coming by who literally grinds the avocado into a puree - weird and strangely suggestive. Will come back.

There has not been a single instance where the food choice has been bad. It has always been delicious and filling. Didn't take very long to come out and the service was great.

Nice atmosphere. A little better than typical bar fare. Service was prompt and efficient. Good selection of draft beers including a couple of their own.

Awesome food, awesome service, great local beer, friendly atmosphere. I loved my ginger teriyaki bowl with chicken. I loved the smooth Amber beer I drank all night. I loved the beautiful bartender that helped me after the other guy left for the night who was also extremely cool! Will definitely return next time I'm in the Toronto area.
