Oakville's Temple Bar

The banquet burger is hands down the best burger I've ever had in my life! So far the 4 people I've brought with me over the time to try it have also agreed it's the best burger they've had as well. The french fries also hit it out of the park. Whoever they got cooking back there knows their stuff! Staff is always friendly and the environment is relaxed and feels very inviting. Great place to enjoy some amazing food and a couple beers while you watch the game. Highly recommend. definitely my favorite bar in Oakville. Keep up the great stuff Temple!

Neighbourhood pub. Perfect Guiness pour. Good food, and all around great prices. Paid $5 for the pint of Guinness. Atmosphere is on point. Haven't gone at night so can't comment on the vibe then.

An interaction that occurred this evening ruined our experience and view of this place. The fact that it was on an evening that we both needed a nice night out made it worse. We had dinner, paid the bills, and were having a second drink. A large party came in and needed or table. The waitress seating them said they should be leaving about us. Three guys from that party stood staring at us. This made us uncomfortable, obviously. When my friend went to the bathroom the waitress came and asked for the chair. When I let her know that my friend was coming back and sitting there, she just took it anyways saying she can use the other one. I understand needing our table but making us feel like we needed to leave and unwelcomed was not necessary. I have never experienced this before at any restaurant. Usually people are not seated in an area if there is no room for them. I guess the intention was to rush and push us out. If this is how you treat your guests we will not be back. We both left upset and feeling like our evening was ruined. We didn't deserve this interaction.

Live music was a nice touch. Got burgers off kids menu the buns were super tasty. Had an issue with the wings but our server Jen was super helpful and rectified this issue promptly. Appreciated the service on her behalf. Made up for the issue with the food.

For the second time I had to plan a celebration of life for one of my parents. Back in 2018 when Sarah was managing the location our event went as smooth as it could. On September 10, 2022 as we had pre arranged a celebration of life for my mother who had recently passed we encountered one of the worst experiences and awful persons I’ve ever dealt with. As we filled that building with paying customers far more than what would be seen on a regular day/week, we had Nigel sit with my brother and myself. We toasted to my mom and he expressed how happy and grateful he was and how it is good for their “family” pub. Shortly after that the owners son the managerDominic came up to us and told us in an assertive manor how they just lost one table due to it being too loud. I’ve never felt so disrespected by a manager in my life. The way he handled the situation was hands down the most disgusting behaviour I’ve ever seen in a manager of a “family” pub. I truly hope he learns better customer service one day. I hope he learns compassion and grace. Never will I step back in this place again after years of going year from their first opening, to holding two celebrations of life and countless weekly outings.

Been here a few times now and I absolutely love everything about this place! So amazing : Fantastic atmosphere, service is top notch, the food is fantastic and so delicious, they have great deals Every Day. Very welcoming and warm place to be : You have to check this place out… you Won’t regret it! : 10/10

The cauliflower bites and nachos with grilled chicken were really good. I would order the nachos again. The service was very friendly and the wait wasnt long for the food. I visited on new years eve. It was a good time. I would recommend coming on friday night for karaoke. Its a lot of fun.

First time coming here, staff friendly, food pretty good. The website advertised Tuesday Beer specials, but the manager refused to honour them with some BS excuse that their website has been down for 18 months and there was nothing he could do, REALLY. Beware when looking at the website as there maybe many things wrong. Will seriously consider my choices before i come back here again.

We had an event at this bar this Saturday afternoon. This was a celebration of life so it was for family and friends. The food was ok but took a very long time and was over cooked. The servers were lovely. The area was hot a muggy. Even with all of this we had a lovely event at this bar. At the end the owner Nigel’s son came up and tried to give us an issue about the children and how they lost a table because they didn’t want to be around children. It is important to note that this is a family pub, a planned event and we brought them 30-50 guests all drinking throughout the afternoon event. Absolutely shocked that they thought it was even remotely appropriate to bring up that they lost a table of business and that it somehow should of fallen onto us because of this. Absolutely disrespectful and disgusting. Food = subpar but good prices Bar = outdated and no AC Beer = too carbonated Service = slow because they’re understaffed for the amount of people but the servers were wonderful. Owners = disrespectful and unprofessional Overall if you are looking for a place to host an event I would suggest many other bars in Oakville.
