The agent we worked with to get the lease for our apartment was good! However, since week one as a tenant, we have had trouble in the unit with getting basic things fixed (most of which should have been done before we moved in). A bunch of simple fixes and little problems that could easily be answered, but they never get back to you! They cant even get back to you with simple yes or no questions in a timely manner ( and by timely I mean within a week at the very least). The lack of communication is incredibly frustrating. They said they had the place professionally cleaned before we moved in - We pulled a bunch of jars and dirty pots out of the bottom cupboards and oven drawer...I hope they didnt charge the previous tenants for for the cleanig job. The latest problem - The dryer has had something wrong for over a month now and if it weren't for my weekly reminders nothing would have set up to rectify it yet. Deflect and neglect should be their motto!

Andrew Dixon was the listing agent for my property that sold recently through Mountain Park Real Estate. I must say I was very skeptical at the beginning and wanted to list with one of the well known brokerage houses, but Andrew gave me his word to work diligently until the house was sold. He communicated very regularly with me and acted very professionally throughout the process. I will definitely recommend him a 100%. He is a man of his word!!

I can't speak from a home owner's perspective, but from a tenant's perspective MPRE have been completely miserable to deal with. From move in to present (approximately 18 months) every time there's been an issue we've been made to feel completely like the enemy. They're not interested in doing anything more than the absolute bare minimum required of them by the letter of the law, and even then, only under extreme duress. If you ever do manage to corner them and force them to deal with an issue properly, they'll play musical property managers on you. Your new manager will blame the last for all your issues and will promise to do better and to never let such things happen again... until the next time. Customer service to the max. In short, as an owner, if you prefer your property managers to do the absolute least amount possible and to treat your tenants like garbage then you've found the place. If you're a prospective tenant... run. I'll admit that not every MPRE employee was completely terrible to deal with and that we encountered the occasional bright spot along the way. I'm sure that not every tenant has had the same misfortune and sour experience in dealing with them as we did. Some of the positive reviews that have been left here were from truly satisfied customers surely. As far as our experience with them went though, we've never dealt with a more antagonistic, miserable, inconsiderate, cheapskate bunch in our lives.

As an owner, I would not recommend Mountain Park Real Estate to manage a property. In the end, we didn't make a deal but the contract negotiations (phone, email) were less than professional and in a word, sneaky. To me, this indicates lack of reliability and due diligence, which are integral aspects of property management. Update in response to Warren: 1. Dec 14: a first offer was made by your team member which I declined the next day. 2. Dec 15: to Dec 19 we negotiated until I accepted a deal which was seemingly reasonable in terms of net income & term and requested a contract. 3. Dec 20: contract sent by him. I reviewed it and was surprised to see that not only was the contract one-sided, it contained contradictions between paragraphs and stated that I was obligated to pay a $595 sign-up fee (higher than advertised on your Ostays website). There was absolutely NO mention of the sign-up fee in any of our negotiations which was quite detailed and went down to the Shaw internet costs. I repeatedly requested for a bottom-line-take-home income minus ALL fees and somehow this was not mentioned. I don't consider a pre-negotiation "sample of a contract" as letting me know of those fees. I replied with contract clarifications that day. 4. Dec 21: I declined the offer due to the surprise sign-up fee. 5. Over the next few days: the offer was changed to add another month for them to have it for Stampede to "recoup some of their losses". I had stated up-front from the start that I only needed 6 months of their services and then I'd evaluate a renewal at the end of the fixed term (June). 6. Dec 25 (Christmas): another contract was "auto-sent" to me with worse terms than all of the other negotiations. It was after this that I accepted an offer on AirBNB and would yield $400 more for the month than going with MPR/Ostays. 7. Dec 27: I was notified by him that a deal couldn't be made because it was too close to January and that February would be the earliest time as you guys need time prep. Understandable but I wonder how things would be if it was June 27. 8. Jan 1 (New Years day): again another unfavorable contract was "auto-sent" to me. A tenant was already in my unit by this time. Warren, I hope you can see what I mean by sneaky. We had a deal that was verbalized many times and in email yet when I received the contract it contained a $595 fee obligation and a 30 day/90 day notice (contraction) to terminate requirement on a fixed-term agreement. Then the time term of the deal was changed after I called it out. I feel that owners should be made aware that they need to very carefully review the contracts from you guys because of unfavorable T&Cs that are snuck in there.

I am an owner of a brand new property. I contacted Mountain Park after I had had a traumatic experience with another management company which made me proceed rather carefully with Mountain Park. I was put in touch with Andrew Dixon, a leasing agent. I was hoping for a professional, knowledgable, efficient and responsive agent and that's exactly what I got. It has been a very good experience so far. The property was rented within a week of being on the market. I look forward to a long and successful business partnership with Mountain Park and a similar level of service managing the property.
