The cheeseburger was great. My pastrami was good, but could've used more meat. The bread is homemade, so that makes it better. The fries are homemade, a tad salty for me, but my husband loved them. It's a bit of a dive, but that lends to the charm. There really is a Mae in the kitchen! They have a big menu, well be back to try some more items.
I stopped in here for lunch traveling from Idaho to Salt Lake City. Very friendly atmosphere with plesant staff. The older gentleman who took my order told me what the famous for. The hand cut fries, cheeseburgers, and homemade bread. I had a turkey sub. It was delicious along with the fries. Washed it down with fresh made lemonade. Worth a stop if you're passing by.
Hand cut French fries and house made sandwich bread. Cute little diner.
This was a very unique experience. The employees there were all older and very nice. They touted the hand cut homemade fries and homemade sandwich bread. I ordered a cheeseburger combo, the special for the day. The hamburger was extremely disappointing as the patty was as processed and thin as you could get. I agree though, the fries were good. Not sure I would go back, but a good memory of the visit. The place was a little run down, but clean.
Great find. Found in a Google search trying to avoid chain restaurants, and it was yummy. There's a bit of a greasy smell when you walk in, but I took that as a sign I'd love their fries. It's a cute little mom and pop shop with a friendly staff. True to thought, if I lived in this town, I could eat their fries and the fry sauce every day. My vegetarian kid was limited, but we all tried something different and filled our stomachs. My 5 year old especially loved using her quarters to get a collection of bouncy balls in between eating her hot dog and fries.
