Motel Au Vieux Piloteux

This motel was a life saver after our first poor experience with an Airbnb host leaving us high and dry! We were a last minute walk-in and we chose the motel because they advertised they spoke English and it looked clean. Even the billboard outside said in big letters "WE SPEAK ENGLISH" even though the owner only spoke enough English to book us our room. However, he booked us in immediately and our stay was great. Clean, simple and issue-free.

Very conveniently located right off the highway. The bedrooom was modern, very homey and comfortable. Bathroom was lovely. There's even a small patio table and chairs outside the room. Overall, the room was well worth it! I had a very lovely experience!

Beautiful, clean, updated rooms for a motel, fair price ($89 CDN + tax), alongside St Lawrence River. Pleasant colours beige walls, blue bedspreads, burnt orange throw cushions and abstract wall art; 2 beds (Queen & Dbl); mini fridge, AC, Keurig Coffee maker, large desk, with large mirror above and comfy ofc chair, 4-drawer dresser, wall-mounted TV, 2 bedside tables with lamps that have electrical outlets for charging phones, extra chair, closet with a safe, ironing board and iron, extra blanket and pillow; nice size bathroom, overly large sink (no room for one's own toiletries), clean bathtub with large rain-shower head, quiet exhaust fan, towels, hairdryer. French, English and Spanish spoken by receptionist, although English is not strong, but pleasant enough. Parking spots seem to reserved, which we didn't realize until someone drove up behind us as we were getting our bags from the car, and they said, in broken English, that it was their spot. Reception hadn't told us where to park.

The rooms are clean and cheerful, and most have a view of the St. Lawrence River. The pool is well maintained and the cost of the room is reasonable. We stop here regularly on our trips between NB and Ontario.

Located in a decent spot with lots of places to visit nearby. The room was really hot and not fully clean as you would expect from a motel.
