Motel 6 Brattleboro

It was a good spot to stop for the night after a very long drive. Miss Carol was very friendly, and cared about my stay. The first room I was assigned to wasn’t made up. I went back to desk and she put me in a larger room without additional charge. The room was neat but was so Smokey I couldn’t breath without inhaling cigarette smoke. I didn’t want to move again so I sprayed my can of Lysol twice without any relief. The next morning I told Carol about the room’s Smokey odor an she thought it might have been coming from smokers outside. However, it was stale smoke! The room needs repainting or washed to eliminate the smoke. Unfortunately. all the next day I felt like i smoked a pack of cigarettes or slept in the ashtray. If you stay, make sure you avoid room 115 until they take care of the stale smoke odor. If you’re s smoker, it’s a reasonably priced room off the highway.

I stayed at the Brattleboro, VT Motel 6 from November 6-10, 2017 for work. The first room I checked into was absolutely disgusting! The first thing I noticed as soon as I opened the door was a very strong smell of marijuana. There was an air purifier going in the room to try to mask the smell but it wasn’t helping. I started to check the room and found both beds covered in human and dog (?) hair, pillows as well. There was hair all over the floor, furniture and bathroom. There were food particles all over the bureau, refrigerator, and nightstand as well as the floor. Cigarette ashes were all over the microwave and bureau. This was supposed to be a nonsmoking motel. The towels were covered in stains and the wall unit that they place the towels in was filthy. I went to the store and bought bleach and began cleaning the room myself when I decided I shouldn’t have to. I called the desk and the girl said she could not refund my stay and cancel my reservation so I could leave, but could place me in a clean room. I went to the office where I was informed I would have to pay an additional $167 for a new room since I had booked through Expedia. I refused, stating I had already paid for the weeks stay and would not pay additional money in order to get a clean room. After calling the manager several times they were finally able to switch me to a smaller room at no additional charge. The smaller room did not have a refrigerator or microwave. The desk girl told me she personally checked the first room before I checked in and it was perfect. I showed her the photos I took of the filth and she responded with, “Apparently I need glasses.” After stressing the noise ordinance again I was sent to inspect the new room. This room was clean. The people in the room above me proceeded to yell, bang, jump and party well into the night, each night. So much for the required quiet of the guests. Wednesday night the room next door had dogs that barked, growled and whined much of the evening. Overall this was a horrible stay and I will never return, nor recommend this motel to anyone.

Excellent value. The staff was friendly, there was plenty of parking and the unit was clean. Everything worked. No issues at all. Very comfortable.

Good value for the price. Clean rooms, friendly and accommodating staff. They will try to address your room location preferences. Right off the interstate. Minutes from central Brattleboro. Right at the bridge to NH. Restaurants nearby.

The value of the room for the rate get's 5 stars but more importantly the customer service was fantastic! Ms Carol checked us in and was so friendly, helpful and knowledgeable - I wish we could clone her and have her work everywhere! How lucky you are to have such a great employee.
