Had dinner in the tavern portion, food was good and great atmosphere in a beautiful old building. VT beers on tap too. Main dining area looks worth trying for a special night out, menu there a little high for a regular night out for us. Nice patio dining off tavern for warmer months.

Unfortunately, a very nice inn and excellent restaurant and service are ruined by greed. The amenities as simple as a sitting room with a fireplace were not available because they booked the room for a large dinner party both nights. Why they could not eat in the restaurant like everyone else and allow the inn guests to enjoy the inn amenities they advertise is beyond me. All we wanted was a nice room to sit in front of the fire and read but we were basically restricted to our room with one chair. Just disgraceful treatment.

Tasty prix fixe brunch. Moderate portions. Alex our server was kind, helpful, and accommodating. Massage from Jessie was excellent and steam bath @ the spa was amazing. I would gladly return

One the coolest old school new England bed and breakfast. Staff was very nice.

Spent the first cold weekend of the season here and the palor with the fireplace couldn't be used because the restaurant was using it even though there was plenty of room in the restaurant. It was really disappointing since it was the one of the amenities that drew us in. On the other hand the staff was excellent especially the Taven staff for breakfast and dinner. Our room was nicely decorated and clean.
