Story

The Latchis Hotel and Theatre, Southern Vermont's Art Deco treasure at the corner of Main and Flat Streets in Brattleboro, Vermont. The Latchis is easily accessible from I-91, Route 9, and Route 5, and provides a wonderful setting for vacation, business, and corporate travel needs.

We have accommodations ranging from Standard Singles to Full Suites, as well as a variety of conference facility options. We also offer free wireless Internet in all guestrooms, and a wired DSL port in the lobby cafe.

This is a hotel centrally located in downtown Brattleboro. It has a theatrical theme and has a historic movie theater attached. We stayed in a two room suite. The rooms were spacious and clean. There was no temperature control when we stayed there. The ACs were shut off and the rooms were warm. Not a bad thing if you sleep warm, but I like a cold room and was a little uncomfortable. There was a fan provided and it helped. Downstairs in the lobby is a cool coffee nook where you can sit on comfy couches and can enjoy free coffee, tea or hot chocolate. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The movie theater is stunning. If you don’t take in a movie, you should at least take a peek inside. There is a small restaurant attached to the hotel as well. The menu is limited but the food was good. There is very limited parking at this hotel which was disappointing. There is a public parking lot next door, but it’s paid and I don’t know if it’s overnight. The location is great. You can walk to many shops and restaurants and covered bridges are only a short drive away.
Went for a quick getaway and couldn't be happier with the Latchis! Great atmosphere, great lobby, super clean, no fuss room. I stayed 2 nights in an interior queen I wanted it quiet and it was!. Comfy bed with ample pillows. Nice large bathtub. Fridge & microwave too. I didn't think I'd be so excited about the record player and vinyl lending library but it was great and I listened to 7-8 records. Coffee and tea in the lobby 24/7! I love the historic space and photos throughout. I also caught a movie at the Latchis theater! Would definitely recommend
What a fabulous place. The staff especially Amy the manager were amazing. 14 of us stayed here for 3 nights at the start of a bike tour. The cinema/meal ticket at $30 was a highlight, 14 English watching Downton Abbey in an American cinema and the Echo restaurant was a lovely place. We were allowed to store our bike bags for a small fee at the hotel which were loked after and I immensely enjoyed the central location and the environs of this art deco hotel, now managed as a trust. A place like this takes maintanance, so we were delighted to be a part of helping to keep this grand old place running.
This was such a great find! I stayed one night here on a road trip. Checking in was easy, the staff member at the front desk was super helpful and provided clear information. The hotel itself is the cute, historical building I expected. My bed was so comfy and I had an amazing view of the river which was even prettier at sunset. The location was great so we could easily walk to nearby shops and places to eat.
I absolutley love this hotel. This place has so much brattleboro history i highly reccomend the mountain veiw room it really has a veiw. And if you ask they will give you a full guided tour threw the hotel and enlighten you with the history of how it all began. Very clean , happy people just a great place to stay the nite in down town brattleboro. Maybe catch a movie too they have great package deals.
