Moose's Saloon

Bring cash, kids okay, bar is great for singles. Moose was UM footballer and a dear friend of everyone in the neighborhood. His daughter Wallis has preserved the family tradition magnificently. Hands down the best pizza in the Flathead Valley, chewy thin crust, eat the first piece with a knife and fork...it's always that hot! Probably 20 tap selections, all available by the pitcher. Celebrate Moore's memory by calling 755-BEER to hear his voice. Celebrate the memory his missus, Shirley, who just passed in 2018, by lifting a cold beer that doesn't care if it slops into the sawdust. Moose's Saloon!

Did not expect the inside appearance based on the outside of the place. 😆 Inside there was sawdust along the floor with a variety of highboy tables, picnic bench and booths, plus standard along the bar seating. Great selection of local craft beers plus the usual domestics, very reasonably priced but note that they were cash only though there is an ATM readily available near the pizza counter. Interesting spot, would certainly come back to hang out again when in town.

Everything you'd expect from a no-nonsense, true Montana Pizzeria & Bar. Very tight environment when it's busy, but that sort of adds to the flavor. Most importantly the pizza was delicious and the drinks were good. Not necessarily a place for a very quiet evening meal... But would you really expect that at Moose's Saloon? :-) We can't wait to come back.

Interesting place to have pretty decent pizza. Packed on a Tuesday afternoon for lunch. Sawdust on the floors, wood everywhere with people carving initials. Definitely a place to stop if you are passing through town.
