Tamarack is nestled beneath the Rocky and Mission Mountains in Lakeside, Montana, near the shores of beautiful Flathead Lake. High ceilings, fascinating architectural details and a warm ambience help make The 'Rack the best spot in the Flathead Valley to relax with great food and handcrafted ales. First of all, their beer, no matter your preferences, are delicious liquid of subtle well balanced brews.   My personal favorite is Yardsale Amber Ale, but the seasonal Big Drift White IPA, brewed with coriander and orange peel is fantastic too.  The food is ridiculously generous, delicious and satisfying.  The beer battered fish & chips are the best in Montana (IMO).  Period.  But the burgers and salads are pretty delicious as well.  Overall, it’s a topnotch brewery with exceptional bar food in a lovely creek side setting.

This is hands down the best place I have found to eat in the Flathead Valley. The burgers here are amazing and the staff is nice. The beer is really good and it has great views overlooking the lake. If you have never been here I suggest you go try it out, I promise you won't be disappointed

The service was as great as the food. A very nice atmosphere, a wide variety of brewed beers.... And all reasonably priced. The overall experience was one that makes you want to invite friends to join you in dining there again.

Husband and I always go here after a day of skiing or on our way back from Hot Springs. We are never disappointed. Casey is one of our favorite waiters along with Lindsay. Great views, awesome food, great selection of beer and fun for everyone.

The best in the Flats! This place is rock solid, and the seasonal beer was so damn good. Can't wait to go in the spring, views are amazing.
