Story

The Raven is located across the street from The Islander Inn and a mere 4.5 Miles South of Bigfork, Montana. The Raven offers Flathead Lake waterfront dining in a fun Caribbean style atmosphere. Indoor and outdoor seating is available on two waterfront decks as well as an indoor dining room. Our outside deck is heated for the cool Montana nights. Dock your boat, sea kayak or canoe to us and enjoy the warm Montana sunshine or the vast Montana sunset. Cool off by diving off into the cool deep waters of the largest freshwater lake west of the Mississippi. Open year-round it is the perfect place to watch a winter storm roll over the lake from our heated deck.

Open for lunch, dinner and cocktails. The Raven has an ever changing menu that utilizes local food with an international flair from the chefs travels around the world. The casual lunch menu features all natural burgers, award winning calamari, local salads and fish tacos. The dinner menu has the lunchtime favorites along with All Natural Steaks, Pad Thai and the Famous Spring Brook Ranch Yak Meatloaf. There are Gluten Free and Vegetarian items on all the menus as well as mac and cheese and chicken nuggets for your little people.

Very cozy/hip place on the water and the food is Amazing! We had a great experience and the burgers are Huge! Like two people could split one .. and they are super tasty with huge flavor. If I could me through here again I would definitely stop by.

We pulled up to the restaurant by boat which was really cool. I was with 5 other people and we got seated pretty quickly. Then we got our orders in and then things went downhill. 4 other people got their food but me and one other in the group was still waiting on theirs. The server came out and told us the 2 burgers were coming, but that the cook was switched out midway through the making of our orders. We ended up having to wait until the 4 other people were done eating to get our food. My hamburger was pretty average. It was completely burnt on the outside which was gross and then the middle was pretty good. In the end the burger was just ok and not worth the wait, but apparently the salads were amazing. (there also was this fly boarder dude which was really cool)

Spent several hours climbing on Wild Horse Island with the family, we were exhausted and really hungry. Spotted The Raven and decided to grab a quick bite. Walked in to a full house with no table for five, so we started out. The proprietor stored us outside and said he'd make room for us. Turned into one of the best dining experiences in recent memory. We expected quick bar food and got a WOW dining experience instead. I highly recommend dropping in here for the food and the atmosphere. Terrific memory maker.

Great atmosphere, reminds me of the San Juans in Washington State.  Good food as well, I really like the hand cut fries.  The view is amazing as well.

The Good:
-Great fish tacos
-Awesome view of the lake

The Bad:
-The cocktails we ordered had almost no alcohol
-Finding a parking space can be tricky, as it has a small lot just off of a busy road

The Ugly:
-We weren't sure if we should seat ourselves, so we waited for a server. After a couple of minutes a server walked to within about a foot of us, but didn't welcome us or even acknowledge our presence. It was not busy when we went and we were the only people by the door, so I was a bit annoyed.
-After seating ourselves it took about 10 minutes for a server to drop off menus, another 5 minutes for them to come back for our drink order, and another 10 minutes to get our drinks (about 25 minutes to get a drink) . The water didn't come until after the food had, about 15 minutes after we got our "cocktails" (about 40 minutes after arriving).
-I don't think the servers have assigned tables, because after we placed our lunch order and the menus were cleared off of the table we had 2 more servers (about 5 minutes apart and about 30-35 minutes after arriving) bring us menus and us ask for our drink orders.
-Instead of the courtesy "Are you finished with that?" or "Can I get that out of your way?", the servers would walk up and, without an "Excuse me", start reaching over you to grab an empty glass or some such.

Bottom line:
Go for the fish tacos and the view, but don't expect service with a smile and don't waste your money on their cocktail menu.
Good for a chill outing, but not a date or business gathering.
