Decent, clean station, not very close to the historic centre, but walkable distance. There is not much of the seating area, however, toilets are free and clean. Please note that normally bus tickets provide free seating. No seats are reserved.
There is an information section you can check the Montreal map and metro map, also there’s a shop for currency exchange, barbershop, etc,. This place can connected you with other provinces, you can also choose to travel inside Quebec province using the bus. I’ve seen some complaints in the previous reviews about the accommodation. I’ll follow up to get more infos, and update my review after. THIS IS ALI NOOR & THIS IS MY REVIEW
It is the departure and arrival point for most inter-city buses. Nearly 300 buses serve the terminal per day.
This morning at 6:35 am the customers service opened and I was running late to book my ticket to Ottawa but the lady was in front of me in the line does not speak any English or French, so the lady in customers service asked her what language do you speak? After that she spent a while typing on her computer so it turns out that she was writing for her in Google translater so she can communicate with her and help her to book a ticket! Honestly this lady restored my faith in humanity! Such incredible heart! All the respect. We need more human like her.
Pros: Place is clean, can usually find wi-fi there. Cons: the bus companies themselves are terrible. 20 minutes after leaving the Orleans Express bus, I realized I left something on the bus, but the empty bus had already left. So I called them. None of them offered any avenues to helping, all of them claimed they couldn't contact the bus driver or any staff or personnel, claimed there was no lost and found service, and they kept forwarding me to different numbers that forwarded me back to old numbers, all claiming that there was no way for me to find what was left on the bus and that there was nothing I could do. Lazy and unserviceable, never riding Orleans Express again.
The new building looks beautiful inside and here's a view from the outside.
Although I did not have a direct bad experience, I found the gentleman who was working in the greyhound office on the premises across gate 17 was extremely rude to various customers between 5 am and 7:30 am when I was waiting at the station on September 30th 2016. He would scoff at any questions that were asked by customers, shrug his shoulders and clearly had a disregard for any customers questions or concerns. That kind of customer service and just behaviour in general is very unacceptable.
It only takes one bad apple to ruin the barrel. While I had great service by several staff members who served with a smile, one member of staff gave me the absolute worst experience I have ever had with greyhound. He was extremely disrespectful and told me not to ask him any questions. When I spoke he cut me off several times to remind me not to ask him any questions. Why is he at a help desk if we cannot ask questions? He then yelled abuse at me in french, definitely not someone who should be working with customers face to face. Very dissapointed, Will not use greyhound again.
There's a great deal of opportunities to get to shopping or to get to services, not only the ones that are usually found in a ordinary bus terminal. There's a free wifi and even two different urban medicine clinics at the second floor!
Can't complain. It's on top of a metro station going in all four directions of the city. Within walking distance to many restaurants, hotels and pubs. It's clean, we'll organized, there's a food court, tourist information desk, security, etc.
