Due to personal reasons, I needed to return to Toronto earlier than planned just by myself, so I chose to travel with Via Rail.nBoth the ticketing staff at the station and the staff in the business lounge were very friendly. The Lounge itself isn't very large, but on the day of my visit the station wasn't crowded, so the space felt quiet and comfortable.nPassengers simply waited for the boarding announcement and then headed to the platform when it was time, which made the whole process smooth and stress-free.nOverall, a pleasant and calm experience before departure.
Central Gare of Montreal, Fancy underground historical architecture building. There is Coffee shops, restaurant, grocery, mobile store, Fast Foods, All services and facilities available in the station.
Took the VIA Rail from Toronto to Montreal. The station was small but had a stylish vibe. I liked how you could get picked up or dropped off under a covered area—super convenient. It was late at night so I couldn’t really look around, but I’d love to come back during the day and explore a bit more.
First time taking VIA rail.nAlthough a bit confusing at first, every one there was helpful and informative on what to do and expect.nThe business lounge is very dated and worn out though.nThe actual trains are nicer than expected and absolutely worth it.
This review provides an overview of the Gare Centrale and the train journey to Toronto.nnThe station was quite pleasant. Travelers approach via the ground floor vehicle drop-off point and then proceed inside. Several outlets open early in the morning offer breakfast options. The lounge staff were welcoming and friendly; however, the business lounge primarily offers beverages, with limited food choices.nnThe train journey, which lasted over five hours, was smooth and comfortable overall. Onboard catering included a selection of beverages, with multiple service opportunities throughout the trip. While the meal options varied, some items such as the bread and butter stood out as particularly enjoyable, whereas other offerings, like the chicken too dry and dessert too sweet, were somewhat less appealing.nnWifi onboard as always on many VIA Rail is patchy and slow.nnOverall, the journey was enjoyable.
