It’s been sometime I did not dine at Montana! It was quite a pleasant surprise to see their diverse menu! The food display & taste were very good I was extremely impressed with the fish quality of my fish & chips! A thick piece of a fleshy white fish, rarely observed in such a dish. It was juicy and done to perfection. Will revisit soon in Mississauga!
If I was basing this review on our server only, I would have given 4 stars or more. She was assigned to work behind the bar and not the patio during dinner, but she was attentive, friendly, efficient, and checked on us frequently. When we were first seated, it was a bit odd that the gentleman at the front the manager? implied that because no one was specifically assigned to the patio, efficient service wasn't guaranteed. I understand that it was busy and we were possibly being squeezed in, but there's probably a more tactful way of saying that service could be more hectic/slow as a result. The food was decent; those in our party who ordered the ribs enjoyed them, and the kids were happy with their meals. My steak was cooked well but the coleslaw unfortunately had a hair in it; my server was kind enough to get them to comp my meal as a result, which was a nice gesture.
Takeout order. It was not upto the mark. especially their beyond the meat burger. no taste at all. no condiments were given. poor service.
We love Montana’s for any occasion, this location at Collingwood is nice and no hassle getting in, we don’t have reservation. I noticed that the serving was a little bit lesser than the normal or just the location.
Went there for dinner last night at 6pm. Table of 6 Waited 15 to get drink orders. When we ordered food it was simple orders. Chicken fingers, burgers, fries etc. 2 dinners where messed up and gave us a dish we didn't order. They went back. We waited another 20 minutes to get our food. The food was cold. The gravy was sent back 2 times because it came cold and like a clumpy thick pudding paste both times. Eventually the servers stopped waiting on us. Offered no refill on drinks. The heavy set brunette behind the bar in the pink Hoodie was talking poorly about us to the drunk guy at the bar and staring at us so intensely I wanted to walk over and ask if there's anything I could help them with. It also was not busy. There were only 8 tables in the restaurant and most of the staff was standing around gossiping. It was honestly the most unprofessional petty thing you could do as a staff member. It was my daughter's birthday. Our moods were fantastic when we went it. We had an amazing time as a family but don't recommend Montanas in collingwood. We are out for lunch right now at Montanas in Owen sound and our experience here is 100 times better!
BAD !! Who has ever been to a Montanas and told they will not be able to serve us?? The kitchens closed??? Instead we should have been informed there would be a wait 29-30 minutes. But never ever have we ever been told they can’t seat us. This is extraordinary unprofessional. There was no sign on the door saying closed. Absolutely upsetting and rude!!
Ribs were really fall-of-the bones, every strip of the meat was full of smoked flavor. It was spacious with many large LED screen TVs hanging on walls, full of relaxing vibe, definitely a good place to have beer and watch Live games with friends
My family and I dined at this location on Saturday night. We had the pleasure of being served by Melissa. It was quite busy in the restaurant, but Melissa made us feel like we were her only customers. She was bubbly, professional and had a lot of knowledge of the menu to accommodate my dietary restrictions. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone, and ask for Melissa as your server !
We were seated promptly and taken care of very quickly. Laurena is lovely - we have had her here before and she always makes the experience she is so sweet and thoughtful. Food was quick and AMAZING! It was my daughters birthday and Laurena made it extra special. Thanks for another amazing experience. Kid-friendliness: So kid friendly every time. Food portions for kids are incredible. Choices are amazing. Parking: Great parking and location
Laurena Definitely the best service I have received all year long! She was very friendly, and had a positive attitude towards our table! Continued to check in multiple times throughout the night to make sure we had everything we needed! Shared her favourites with us from the appetizer selection of the menu! Made it a personal and rememberable night out! Thank you Laurena!!!
