I work near their location in Sunridge, the store has a very clean and professional retail area. I ordered a new phone, taking into account their reasonable prices and in store warranty backed hardware. I was confident that I was going to receive a quality product and solid service. I experienced an initial hiccup with the delivery, there happened to be a backorder with the phone I purchased. The guys at Mobile depot took responsibility right away. I had to wait, but at the end of the day I walked happy with my brand new phone and satisfied that my concerns were addressed. And now I know where to take my damaged electronics in the future.
This company broke my laptop and then did not even tell me about it when I paid for the repair a screen. They broke my main board of 2300 dollar laptop that was used lightly. Then, the representative told me that they have no responsibility. When I contacted BBB, goverment of Alberta. They gave me a replacement laptop with broken keyboard after I basically fight for it for more than 2 months from the date that I left my laptop there first. The laptop I got from them is a garbage. I should have brought them to the court instead of accepting the replacement laptop. Avoid them. They will waste your time and energy. They will frustrate you beyond your imagination. These people are only good at deleting a bad review. My previous review was deleted and I am posting one again.
DO NOT waste your time and your hard earned money on this place, they will end up costing you more than going direct to the OEM, not to mention the precious time you will spend arguing and the travelling back and forth to fix it on their so called warranty. I brought my iPhone SE to this mobile depot FIVE times to get the screen replaced then repaired because it would ghost type anytime the screen had the slightest moisture on it to the point it was basically unusable. The guys at the desk kept saying this was the first time they've seen this problem and assured me the replacement screens were OEM apple and not aftermarket knock off's. Ok, so I kept telling myself I just needed to be patient. After the fifth time the screen finally worked but now the fingerprint app stopped functioning. The non-defective screen was clearly more important so I never bothered bringing it back fearing they would do something bad to it again. Within a few weeks the screen started to separate on one side, then the home and power buttons quit working causing issues when trying to log on my phone. I brought it back for a 6th time to get some feedback only to be disappointed again. They literally told me that any replacement screen will not and cannot be secured as well as a factory installed apple screen because apple has a robot crimping it into place better. They even went as far as saying the fingerprint function will not work whenever a screen is replaced. Even after I challenged that statement based on the fact the button was not replaced just the screen they confirmed it was totally normal. Well gee guys, I wish you would have mentioned that BEFORE I spent the 80$ and wasting all these hours of time I don't have. Anyway so Mobile Depot was obviously not able to fix anything to save their own lives so I brought my phone to Ty The iPhone guy in the SW. Within two hours Ty replaced my screen with an actual apple screen that actually worked. Ty did confirm Mobile had installed a 20$ knock off screen which weighs about half what the apple screen weighs which is also why they could sell it for less. This is by far the longest and worst review I've given anyone but it is for a good reason; hopefully it can prevent more people from giving business to these crooks and paying that little extra money to get quality and honest service they deserve.
"HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE" do not go to this shop, they sell you the garbage product and it started breaking every other week. You end up buying the extra warranty from them. They don't fix the laptop in house takes 2-3 weeks to get the laptop repair. More you will use more wrong things you will find in the laptop. Then after few month you just get tired & stop going for repair. Guess what now you're stuck, they don't give you the new machine because their don't have exchange policy after 14 days. Very disappointed with both guys who run the shop.
NOT a trustworthy source for mobile phones. I went in and purchased a $300 phone which I was told was an "overstock" item; I'm certain this was a lie. That night itself I discovered that the charger was not OEM and plain did not work, but I let that slide and used my old charger. Within a month the back cover of the phone had completely disintegrated; this cover I found out was also imitation. I solved that problem by using a friend's unused back cover. Then, within 2 months of purchasing the phone, the screen would hang occasionally when unlocking the phone seemingly due to processor hangs; I've seen this before and wasn't too alarmed. At 3 months and 9 days from purchase, the screen would not come on at all in the morning, but eventually came on in the evening. I called the next day to report the problem, and they told me I was outside warranty and that they have a 90-day warranty on phones; I was definitely not made aware of this when purchasing the phone. I had assumed the standard 1 year manufacture's warranty. I was told they will "fix" the phone for $150, but that they may give me a discount because I bought the phone from there. Unacceptable. Now, 15 days later, my phone will occasionally come online, and that's what I'm stuck with. I later found out a friend had had the exact same experience at a different location, he was sold an 'overstock' phone which failed just outside the 90-day warranty period. DO NOT purchase phones from here.
Horrible! I have a 2010 Macbook pro which is known to have the battery swell and crack the tracking pad. I caught this early, released the pressure and the computer and hard drive was still in tact when I left my laptop with them. They told me 1.5 weeks and it would be ready. Made me pay upfront. 2 months later I finally after several phone calls wondering where my laptop was... they said they didn't even have it on record once got it back. Super disappointed because they wiped everything clean, All my photos, over $5,000 in downloaded textbooks from my university days that I still refer too. Several important legal documents and contract drafts, write ups... the list goes on and on... ALL GONE. If I had been warned I would have backed it up better than I did. DO NOT send laptop here, not worth the time, headache, loss or frustration. Poor service, didn't tell you the truth and I would not have paid. I don't even know if I got my own computer back. Shady. Would have given less rating if it was possible.
Polite service even when dealing with difficult customers! That being myself of course! I would have given a better review had the location been closer to home and time was not an issue. If you are in the North and don't mind waiting this is probably the best choice. Price is very good, we had a screen fixed on an iPad mini, however we waited over 24hrs. So far the iPad appears to be fine.
My phone was better before I brought it here. I wanted to get my screen fixed here since I've brought a laptop here before and they fixed it with no problems. But after receiving my phone back, I notice that my camera is broken and the screen isn't even put back properly if you looked at it from the side, you would be able to see the light from the screen lol. I tried to say that my camera was never broken before getting fixed and obviously they just say that they didn't do anything to it since I have no proof that they did. They said that they could look at the camera for me and try to fix it but it would of course cost me again.more money milking I payed 200 dollars for this service and they do such a poor job of putting a screen back on my phone and decided to break my camera as well. They're trying to milk your money. Please don't come here.
Bought a brand new Galaxy S4 for $250. After i bought it and taken it home i realized that there was an issue with the SIM card reader. The phone keeps forcing me to restart it at least 8 times a day due to this issue. Returned it a week later I was busy with work the whole week, and they said it was "physical damage" implying that I broke it myself, and the warranty was now void. Now im stuck with a broken phone and -$250. Thanks Mobile Depot!
Very friendly and knowledgeable. Planned to pick up my lap top in 3 days but got a call 4 hours later saying it was done. Rob did a great job. All staff was very professional. Highly recommend.
