Milwaukee Brat House

Great place to stop with some friends or co-workers after work. Got taken care of fairly fast and all of the staff was friendly. Food came out fast and made it well worth the stop.

Delicious variety of food and adult beverages. Had an early dinner with kids, staff and guests were welcoming. Love the cheese curds!

Great food however the service was incredibly slow. The waiter kept telling us our foos would be right out, and it was over an hour later. Caused me to be late for the Buck's game. Seemed like all the other fans got out in time though!

The food here was average. I had the Belly Buster Burger for dinner on during my visit; their menu describes it as "The ultimate burger! A brat burger and a sirloin burger, topped with Wisconsin cheddar cheese and sautéed onions." I was impressed with what I saw when it arrived to the table, but unfortunately that was the height of my experience. As soon as I took the first bite I realized it was a hot pile of semi-bland grease. The service would be laughable if I wasn't frustrated; if you're not sitting at the bar you may as well be at McDonald's asking for table service. I was awkwardly stared at when I sat down at a table and even more so when I asked for a coke. The waitress only returned to ask if I wanted to check after I was done with my food and my cup had been empty for 10 minutes. I wanted to find a nice quiet place to have a great burger, but unfortunately this is not it.

This review is for both Milwaukee Brat Houses since I’ve at both locations. Milwaukee: Good food and nice servers. Tried their cheese curds and they are ranked #1 cheese curds in Milwaukee for me right now. Service can be a little slow sometimes, but it’s not the end of the world. Shorewood: I love the $2 burgers on Monday, an excellent deal with great value. Their burgers are very high on my favorite burger list. I was a little disappointed in the spice level for the ghost pepper cheese. I thought it was too mild. If you can kick up the heat on that cheese it would be fantastic. It’s definitely a great place to grab good food with a beer. I try to go to these places often!
