Jake's Deli North

Jake's Deli is THE best and deserves the recognition. You can taste the soul and history of the business in every bite of corned beef. The place is beyond unique, and the location feels retro and cool. The staff was friendly, the location is safe, and the value is great. Everyone always wants to say something has changed or that it isn't as good as it used to be...it's just not true about Jake's. This place is and always has been amazing.

I agree with most of the other reviews on here. This place is just not the same as it used to be. The Philly corned beef was very dry. And there were hardly any veggies on it. I will say that they still give you a good portion of meat, but again it's dry. The waitress was very nice and took good care of us. That's part of the reason I'm giving it 2 stars and not 1. I will not be going back here again.

In my opinion this is the best sandwich chain around. The buffalo chicken sandwich is my go-to. Really fresh ingredients and lots of toppings to choose from. Customer service at this location is top notch as well. 5/4

Old school deli is right and I wouldn't want it any other way. Don't change a thing, that corned beef is the way it should be and the space is too. The benches and the sandwiches are for real, old school Milwaukee- the best there is .

What a treat! I went in to this little Milwaukee gem after seeing them on the Travel Channel and I was not disappointed. I did not try the Commish Challenge but I had a traditional corned beef sandwich.The cashier recommended I had the toasted version and she was right! It was the perfect buttery toasted sandwich with spicy brown mustard and a pickle to compliment. I went during the lunch rush and took it to go. Despite the volume of people, all of the workers were very nice and smiley :) I'll definitely be back to try one in house and get some of their corned beef and cabbage soup.
