Millstone Family Restaurant

My husband came to eat here because it was close to his work and we didn't want fast food. We got seated and our waitress brought us water and asked what we would like to drink. We gave her our drink order and she walks over to the fountain. Well I was quick to learn that she was in training. The manager Justine was extremely rude to the trainee. Yelling at her to do everything. One of the other waitresses told her to start running. Fix drinks this way not that way. You should always have coffee pot in your hand (while running). You could tell by the look on the trainee's face she felt like she was doing a horrible job. The manager Justine kept on and on to the point that we couldn't finish eating our food without losing our temper. So we left our barely eaten food on the table. I HAVE NEVER EVER BEEN TO ANY BUSINESS ESTABLISHMENT BEFORE IN MY LIFE WHERE A MEMBER OF MANAGEMENT SPOKE TO THEIR EMPLOYEES WITH ABSOLUTELY NO RESPECT. My heart went out to the girl. She was doing an amazing job and I told her that and she looked at me and said that made her night. She was doing a great job!!! The food wasn't that great either but that was the least of my concern. Manager Justine, I hope this review opens your eyes to how you treat them. You may think your doing nothing wrong but when the customers hear you treating employees like that. It doesn't look good on the business. I do hope you get punished for this.

Good food, it's a grandparents style diner. Amazing caramel rolls! Good spot for breakfast. Didn't have the salad bar but sat next to it and it looked pretty good. Daily specials for lunch and dinner looked good.

Great food, wonderful environment. Even though the place was super busy and there was a waiting list, it was totally worth it. My son loved the coloring mat (and I did as well ^.^ ), the food came hot, my coffee stayed full, and the staff was amazing!! Super warm, inviting, and courteous. Definitely going to make that a stop when we go back to rapid city ♡

Very good food. Friendly staff. Nice and quiet environment. Old style ambiance. Restaurant itself could've been cleaner but the food was safe.

My family and I were just in Rapid City (weekend of 7/28/17) and stopped in there for a meal. WOW! the service here was incredible! Food was even better. Do yourself a favor, if you're staying into or just passing through, and stop in for a great meal experience.
