Murphy's Pub and Grill

Solid and awesome food. The service/timing is highly variable though and we're talking less busy nights in the middle of the week. There are times I have shown up with a reservation and the host/hostess make it seem odd that I expect to be seated on time and have told me "it might be a while," and have made it seem like it's my fault and not their poor planning, which is incredibly bizarre. I wish they were more public about their rotating taps, as well. Some servers are really great at walking you through what is new or seasonal, others seem really clueless.

Food was amazing. However, it seemed like unless you are a local it seems like no one pays attention to you. We were there for quite a while watching our waitress have personal conversations with other customers/friends and she also went and grabbed more customers to wait on even though they weren't in her section so she could wait on them as well. We sat in our seats (which happened to be at the bar, directly in front of her) with empty plates and drinks while she took care of anyone and everyone besides us for at least 20 minutes. Again, the food was great, but need more focus on the customers.

This place is a staple. I wish it was a bit more consistent. These guys seem to be victims of their own success in that they are popular (rightfully so); they can't seem to handle peak times very well. We've had food take 45m-1hr a couple times. I'll always be back. Their menu is unique and progressive, while still offering classic bar staples. Atmosphere is great. Service is friendly. Definitely worth checking out.

I LOVED it here! My friend and I were passing through on a road trip and were desperately trying to find someplace to eat outdoors with my puppy. After being turned away from the Firehouse Brewing Company (because they only allow service dogs on their outdoor patio?) we found Murphy's and were seated right away. The food was amazing! I had a wrap and my friend had a salad. The staff was super friendly and came over to cuddle with my puppy, Albert. Even the owner stopped by to say "we love dogs" and give him some pets. 10/10 would visit again.

We have visited this restaurant many times because we like the atmosphere and the food which is pub style. The problem they have is consistency of service. We have either gotten great service or so bad it ruined the whole experience. The food has been consistently good whether it's a burger, the chicken strips, sausage sampler to name a few. But, you can't depend on getting a good server. This is too bad because it reflects on everyone which is unfair because we have had very efficient and attentive ones. I hope you get a good server and have a good dining experience.
