Mikey's On 12th

Online ordering app was messing up and a staff and manager went out of their way to help us get our order during dinner rush. They were super kind and wonderful! And on top of it those might be the best tacos I've ever had in Calgary! Mikey's is the best!

Hardly any body here. Don't know why the drinks we had were great! Waitress is all seeing, you don't have to wait for anything. And the "Patsy Kline" like singer singing great old tunes. Great prices. GREAT EXPERIENCE! dump the trendy on 17th bars and head on over for a good time.

I had heard a lot about Mikey’s as this is a nice place for live music. We went on Friday evening and initially it wasn’t crowded at all. They also had musical performance from 9pm which had $10 cover. But cover charges only apply on weekends. They have live shows all throughout the week which is great and those are free of charge. We tried their draught : honey wheat ale and wild rose raspberry. Both the beers were great. Their fish tacos were also very refreshing and crispy which i loved. Also tasted their hot wings and those were pretty decent too. They also have pool, dart, video games etc. So it can be fun for a big or small group. Overall a nice place to hang out especially if you love live music.

Went to Mikeys for the first time today after hearing rave reviews and it was awesome! Loved everything about it from the ambience, to the food, to the awesome servers/bartenders. We did the 3 tacos for $11 and loved all 3. My favorite was the shredded beef taco, but they were all amazing! Excited to come back for live music

Had a great Saturday night oct 23 with the live band!! Nice original tunes and covers played. Sound level was perfect, loud enough to be "live" and no over drivin, drums, guitar, vocals, keyboard GREAT SOUND BALANCE. we all agreed. Did not eat myself, but the rest of our group enjoyed the food. Another reason to come back. Waitress was overwhelmed and very busy but did her best. And how, can you not love a bar that has a head rest above the urinals?

This is my second time at Mikey's on 12th Bar, but this is a hidden gem of a restaurant / sports bar! If you're looking for the best authentic Mexican tacos in the downtown area, then look no further than this place. Sure, it looks like a typical sports bar, but it serves the best tacos, especially on Taco Tuesday. 3 tacos for $11? Can't beat that for flavor and value! The servers are fantastic all around and friendly! Big shout out to the Mexican chef who made those authentic tasty tacos and big shout out to the female servers: Brittany, Kristen, and the one that deserves all the love is Amy. Lovely ladies and down to earth!

This place deserves a solid 5 stars. The staff here work so very hard, to keep this place in business. There's many reasons why I call Mikey's, home. The front house staff are awesome people, that you want to be friends with. The kitchen staff, pump out delicious dishes. Especially number one tacos in Calgary. There's live music everyday. The people here the customers, are all nice and lovely people. No one fights and causes trouble. Just have a good time with each other. I love it I love Mikey's on 12th

Typical Calgary raffish bar, nicely done, appropriate semi-rundown decor, perfect for us, no insult intended, praise rather, they deal in priority items, beer, food, music, service. Yuppie upscale decor is money wasted on yuppie scum who only want one non-fat something, something drink with an umbrella in it and nurse it all night long. Our waitress was outstanding, the tacos likewise, the music - Cafe Rose - was super outstanding, we danced until old age set in and sent us home.

Amazing food amazing !! Really quality service!! But for a music venue they have those front speakers blasting like nobodys business waaaay waaay to lound and unbalanced

Kenny served me and my boyfriend and took great care of us! Love the vibes and the tacos are great : will def come back to visit him! Plus he gave me an industry discount for working in a bar in too!
