Brunch experience. This place rocks: 1. The food was absolutely delicious 2. The service was the best. Our server was on point. Every member of staff was efficient and effective in performing their duties. 3. The inside is clean and cozy. I was too excited to take more photos. Looking forward to checking it out for dinner.

Incredible experience. The service here was top notch. Our server was very knowledgeable about the dishes and the beverage menu. The food was phenomenal. We ate a ton of different dishes as you can see. The plates are made tapas family style almost, with some of the plates being very small and some being medium sized. You will definitely need to order 8ish dishes. Which is fun to try all of them! Surprised this place is new. It runs like a well oiled machine!

I went to Vern’s for the first time the other night and loved it! A great place to come with other people and share a bunch of dishes. I tried their butter greens salad, lamb skewers a lot smaller than I expected and the steak. Everything was delicious and I especially loved the steak I normally don’t eat a lot of red meat so it was a nice treat! It’s in a great space with good service as well. I’ll definitely come back for more!

I went on a Monday night with 6 girlfriends. It was difficult to park around the area and I spent a bit of time circling and was a little late so be prepared for that. The space is very intimate with low mood lighting and the tables and the space isnt very big. We shared a bunch of plates. My friends enjoyed the pasta. We got 2 salads. The octopus was good but small.

So happy we were able to experience this spot when in it's first month of opening. The Chefs are out of the world. It's got a great vibe, wonderful service, some of the best wine pairings,and just organic farm to table ingredients showing off the ingredients in the best way. A true gem of Charleston. Happy to be able to experience a great meal!

Vern's is out of this world good. The wine list is full of affordable gems that will blow your mind. If you love natural wines, small producers, and discovering new varietals, don't sleep on Vern's' list. And the food! Holy cow. The hen of the woods mushrooms were extraordinary. The depth and complexity of the flavor made an otherwise one-note dish multidimensional. And the roast chicken in brown jus was phenomenal. I never order chicken, but this is the kind of chicken that raises expectations and reminds you that even the staples can be transcendent. I'm mad I don't live in Charleston and can't become a weekly regular. The service and ambiance was also superb. It's that little corner bistro that feels intimate yet expansive all at once, that transports you to another time and world yet feels just like home. This is a tough place to get a reservation, but it's worth the calendar coordinating/advance-planning. Or try walking in and grabbing a seat at the bar. I'll definitely be back when I'm in town again!

First time visiting Vern's that opened to a lot of hype and it was worth it. There aren't too many, if any, restaurants that Vern's would compete with in Charleston. The food and the ambiance are definitely unique and a welcome addition to the Charleston Food Scene. The vibe is small European bistro and the ambiance does not disappoint. Menu is meant to be shared and served as courses. We ordered the tuna tartare appetizer, the heirloom tomato salad, the rabbit pasta and the pork "cutlet" this was subbed as they did not have pork cheek that evening. We also went with dessert - the blackberry and creme and it was one of the most delicious things ever, light and tasty at the same time! Everything was so delicious, there are nightly specials as well. Service was incredible, our server, Bekah, was helpful in deciding how much and which dishes to order as well as what wine to order. They do NOT have a full bar, only beer and wine, not sure if that license is in process or they just don't plan to have it, but we didn't miss it with such great wine selections. We will definitely be going back sooner rather than later and can't wait!

We had a fantastic experience at Vern’s! The restaurant itself is cozy and beautifully decorated, and the staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. The gnochetti was absolutely delicious! Would highly recommend checking this spot out.

Would recommend making reservations Resy Had reservations for a Monday night and it was packed. Kinda downtown Charleston location. Millennial music playing on radio ex: Eminem and rap. Attire can be jeans, dresses and in-between. Wasn’t sure who our server was, we had 3 people come to the table. Wasn’t sure if they split the roles. Menu includes many options for food and drink Pros: ALL THE FOOD WAS DELICIOUS! 2 in my party size. All the food is sharable for two. We tasted flavors we’ve never had before. Bar and dining seating. Servers were knowledgeable about the menu. They replaced the silverware and plates between each course. Good temperature inside. Candlelit fireplace. No steps to walk in door for handicapped. Left feeling full. Would 100% return! Cons: Street parking, which in this case was free, we got lucky and found a close spot. Very small location. Seating is close together. Would not recommend if you have anxiety. Kinda loud like a cafeteria. No place for waiting. Another reason to make a reservation. If you are seated towards the front, you are by where people are walking in. All I saw was one bathroom for the whole restaurant.bathroom was clean.
