I cannot say enough good things about these guys. I took my computer in for some upgrades and they told me it would be about 5 days. I got my computer back the same day. I also paid for a cleaning and my machine is glistening, every nook and cranny cleaned. My baby is now immaculate!
Tough to write a bad review for anything, maybe 2 stars, maybe 3 not sure. Bought an open box monitor here, price was right but parts were missing all the monitor mount screws & cover plates went to a hardware shop to get something that threaded properly but would've preferred to receive the parts. Monitor also has 3 dead pixels. Called and talked to someone who helped me find the screw size and seemed very helpful, said they would email me to followup, that email never came. I then later emailed them asking them what to do moving forward and received no response. Good and bad things to say, there is definitely room for improvement but not the worst computer shop I've ever been to.
Chris and the team at Mike's Computer Shop helped me tremendously with my househould workstation build. I went in with a pretty foggy idea of how to build a PC and a rough guideline of what I was looking for parts wise. However, Chris and the team were able to suggest parts that ultimately saved me money yet manage to deliver strong performance for my daily work needs. They even helped me with some extra effort and provided additional assistance when I returned with a small issue I was having connecting case amenities during my build. Definitely glad I decided to pop by their store when I was driving by!
I have been buying computer parts from this location long before it became Mikes Computers. When Primetime sold the business to Mikes Computers I have to admit I was skeptical that the service would be as good as it was when it was Primetime. Well I am very happy to say that the service and selection is far superior to PrimeTime’s. The staff are amazing and will not try to sell you more than you really need. They stand behind their work and take pride in providing a great customer experience. Qualities IMO that are hard to find today at many companies. Chris did an incredible job building my computer and worked so hard to make sure everything about the build was done correctly. The manager Curtis is personable and helped ensure I was happy with every part of my experience at Mikes Computer’s. You won’t go wrong dealing with this company.
I'm shocked by some of these reviews because when I went here it was nothing but trouble. First of all I was charged double what I could get for the components if I were to buy them on Amazon and if that wasn't the worst part this bald guy working there has the audacity to rip me off and then ask to buy my older hardware for nothing. Even when I refuse he charges me more for putting my computer together and says that the minimum price was 50 dollars and decides to charge me 80 while not even putting my computer together properly. So I had to do it myself because my computer was running slower if you ask me do I recommend this place I say hell no. I have never seen such a shady business in my life that say there giving you a discount but proceed to charge you 700 dollars for components that clearly do not cost that much.
Our regular guy closed shop, found these folks at the Ridge Meadows home show, chatted, liked them, very personable and knowledgeable. Brought my home computer in which stopped working after a power surge even though it was on a protected surge bar. But as they informed me they only handle so many surges. Anyhow fixed the power source, checked my security , added malware protection, did a system check all while I waited maybe half hour to 45 minutes. Gave me advice on my system and future systems wether I bought there or not. Very very fair, I feel they are trustworthy and will definitely use them in the future and recommend them. Plus I like the idea they actually have a legit store to work from.
Had a very pleasant experience getting a system build done here with the help of Chris I believe. It's pretty badass. Friendly helpful staff. Prices matched or beat anything I found online. Afterwards I went to Costco to look at monitor options and the electronics person there recommended dealing with Mike's computer shop. So good job guys and thanks for the help with the new system.
I went today with a very small problem--I had a loose screw--literally: it was so loose that it fell out, with the result that my hard-drive was always half-dropping out of my laptop. Anyway, the technician took my phone call and provided me with a good indication of where the store was. He replaced my missing screw quickly, and didn't even charge me for it. If I ever have a more serious problem with my computer, I'll definitely give Prime Time Digital my business.
Had to get my MacBook that had sustained some liquid damage looked at to figure out how extensive the damage actually was. I was concerned to be without a computer for a few days as I need one for school and most places would require me to drop it off, but Mike's was able to open it up while I was still in the store and give me some advice. Quick and friendly service, definitely recommend!
Excellent staff at the Maple Ridge location. They will NOT try to oversell you. They do have your best interest in mind and help you decide based on whatever it is your goal is with a computer. Also, they offer reasonable in store extended warranty for most of their products if you want more than manufacturer warranty.
