Absolutely abysmal. We’ve had this Miele oven for a few years and will say we did like it, however a few months ago the glass on the inside of the oven door just cracked, split down the middle. The oven wasn’t even on at the time, we just heard a loud crash in the kitchen and no idea what it was until we opened up the oven the next day. Although it is covered under warranty the fact that this would happen is appalling, but that’s not the worst of it. The service tech came in and verified what we already said and a new door needed to be ordered for replacement. They told us it would be a few weeks, it took 3 months for the new door to arrive! When it did come in and we booked a service appointment the service tech never showed up and nobody even called or contacted me!! Their offices were closed by the time I called that day so I had to call the next day, and they told me there was a miscommunication and that someone was suppose to tell me that the tech received the new door damaged so was unable to come. Now they have to order another door and seeing that it isn’t in stock they aren’t sure when it will arrive!! I could be without the use of my “high end” oven for over half a year!!! Their offer to apologize and rectify this? Some free tablets/detergent for my dishwasher… absolutely abysmal!! Will absolutely never purchase or recommend Miele products to anyone!! To ever have to wait this long for repairs and parts is unacceptable to the enth degree. Now I understand all the complaints about Miele service and quality. Do yourself a favour and look for a different brand.
I am civil engineer and it is my first time experience with Miele appliances, 3 weeks ago we called to the Miele service for our just one year old Miele dryer and they told us behind the line it needs one part and we have to order it from Toronto. after 3 weeks they told us the service guy will be there on Friday . but on Friday the service guy told us the part is not with me . And the company has to reschedule our service for next Thursday, in my experience as Counstroctuin guy Miele appliances doesn’t have good quality and customer service they don’t have the general part in their storage and if something happens to your appliances, you have to wait for long time.and I will tell to all of my construction Colleague just don’t buy Miele appliances it has really bad quality and service .
Miele products are not just overpriced for their low quality, their customer service is equally bad. We are trying to get our dryer which is less than 1y old and still under warranty fixed and it's been a nightmare. Lots of phone calls and we are running in circles without proper service and without a dryer that works.
Practically new oven by Miele isn't getting to the correct temperature and fluctuates significantly. It probably never worked correctly, but we only just acquired it. Turns out it isn't covered under warranty because the previous owner, who installed but never used it before selling the condo, registered it and the warranty isn't transferable. It is 1 year old now I have to spend $300+parts to get it repaired. So much for ForeverCare. I guess they mean "We will forever come and fix your stuff if you pay through the nose". This is an $11,000, 1 year old oven, and they won't cover it. Miele, never again. Update: They called offered me a discount on the parts and labour. Wow, $11,000 on an oven and I get $100 discount on labour. Such a sacrifice. I have jackets with better warranties. My car warranty was 5x longer than a Miele warranty. That just tells me they don't believe their products should last more than 1 year. Update 2: I'm adding 1 star to the review. I still don't like their short warranty or how the extended warranty is non-transferable on a brand new stove, but the technician was helpful and friendly and diagnosed our issues. All of the people we contacted were friendly and helpful, even if the overall business is flawed. I'm still not buying another Miele appliance, but I hate the ones we have a bit less.
Buying Miele appliances was a grand mistake. DW did not work after install. Took over 2 weeks for a service call. Couldn’t fix it and it’s now been 2 weeks and still waiting to see what they will do. Now the new Induction Cook Top doesn’t work. Told to wait another 2 weeks for a service call. Freezer ordered over a year ago and now waiting for a Jan 23 delivery - maybe. Waste of money and the service response is a joke
Daisy at Miele Centre is very responsible and helpful. We initially ordered all Miele appliances from another appliance store not Miele Centreback in Aug 2021. At the time of sale, we were told that Jan 2022 wouldnt be an issue. In late Dec 2021, after we contacted the appliance store, we realized that the items would not be delivered till May 2022. The sales rep from the appliance store did not call us nor help us at all. Even though Daisy did not make the initial sale to us, she stepped in and did the right thing, contacting Miele Canada head office to figure out how the delivery could be expedited. Otherwise our new kitchen would be without appliances until May 2022. She even gave us her personal cellphone number if we run into any issues. Right now, we are just waiting for the hood fan which is no big deal as the rest of appliances were delivered and installed in time with our new kitchen cabinets. If you are planning to buy appliances from Miele, buy directly from Daisy at Miele Centre. The prices offered at other appliance stores are the same as Miele. When there is an issue, the appliance store did not even bother to help. Daisy was the one who did all the leg work to resolve our issue. She even followed up with us after the installation. THANK YOU Daisy....we truly appreciate all your help in resolving our issue.
Good product. Terrible, terrible service. I paid $200 dollars to have my laundry installed. They inverted the hot and cold water inputs, which has damaged our clothing. They refused to refund the installation fee even though they botched it. I have contacted Miele Canada numerous times by phone and Facebook chat over the past month. They have not followed up even once after promising to do so each time. They have still not been able to send someone to resolve the situation. I had a very high opinion Miele based on my vacuum. Now, I will never do business with them again.
High-functioning equipment with lots of features. Middling reliability and HORRIBLE service. Miele equipment is mostly high quality and capable, but God help you if you have a service issue. Their service is nowhere near the level of their premium price. In the past year, we've 1 had our extended warranties not honored because they were bought by the previous owner of our home 2 had 3 equipment failures on ~3 year old equipment and had to deal with a phone maze and long hold times to schedule repairs 3 had our credit card charged an extra $500 "by mistake" and 4 been unable to order simple parts like shelves without waiting for an hour on hold. I don't know why anyone would do this to themselves. Avoid Miele until they figure out decent after-sale service.
Update: After Miele Canada replied to my review, I sent an email per their instruction. Though I didn't hear back from anyone, I see a credit refunded to my account after a month, which I believe is for this difference. Not sure if it was the first customer service agent or the one who received my email, I appreciate it and am a very happy customer now. It would be even better if someone from the customer service could bring the good news though! ----------------------------- This review is for Miele’s customer service centre not for the experience store. I purchased Miele’s refrigerator and had it installed. One day after the delivery, the refrigerator went on a very big sale for Black Friday. I then called the customer service to ask if I could have price adjustment or protection as it is only 1 day difference. The customer service staff who talked to me was condescending and could not offer any help because I have had it installed despite that it’s only one day difference. I then decide that I would return the product and repurchase because the sale is so big that it can cover any penalties that I would have to pay to return the product and I will still save. The customer service staff said she would ask her supervisor and give me a call back by Monday but I never received a call I now realized that they never return your call by reading other Google reviews. On Monday, I called customer service and after a long wait on the phone, I got hang up at 4pm sharp because they are off work. Now the offer will expire mid-night and they couldn’t care less. I have also purchased other Miele appliances and were very excited to have them. But now reading the Google reviews combining my own experience, I really don’t have faith in their products or services anymore. Regretting my decision to purchase such premium products. I believed the price I paid for would include the premium for above average customer service but I was very wrong.
About $600 and 3 service calls to half resolve a freezer issue on a 5 year old $13k fridge bought by previous home owner. Still doesn't make ice and will be another $2k in parts for an ice maker that has worked intermittently at best according to previous home owner. The parts are too expensive and the service team are unable or unwilling to fix the appliances.
