Story

The Commodore Ballroom has always been regarded as Vancouver's premier concert venue in the city. Dire Straits, Talking Heads, Dizzy Gillespie, Blue Rodeo, The Beastie Boys, Pearl Jam, Nirvana and Kiss are just a sampling of an unprecedented string of national & international artists to have played The Commodore Ballroom.

With a $3.5 million dollar renovation completed in November 1999, the Commodore Ballroom has been brought into the millennium for a new generation of concertgoers. Winner of countless awards, the Commodore Ballroom, with its legendary sprung dance-floor, continues to be the premiere concert hall in Canada.

Never been here before. Building built in 1929 and certainly still gives of the same vibe. Very spacious. Seats and tables even available. Tickets were reasonably priced. And drinks ranged from 9-16$. I would certainly go back.
I love Commodore, great place to see shows! When ticketmaster wouldn’t help me after numerous attempts I contacted this venue directly by email. They were quick to offer a solution I was super happy about. On top of that their box office staff was super friendly too! Great team
Have been in this venue for several different events over the past nearly 40 years. It a great venue, and the only place with a dance floor built on tires to give it a bounce! Do t believe me......go dancing there!
Had a great time with my company Christmas party here last night. I've been once before many years ago when I came to see Three Days Grace and Seether. It's a nice venue for a more up close and personal music experience. As you can see in the video below it served as a pretty awesome Christmas event.
There is a good set up of tables and seating off to the sides of the stage, once the concert got going could go and take a break from dancing there. They do sell bottled water for $4.75, but you can also get a glass at the bar. The bar will not refill your water bottle for you though. The bathrooms are very clean, and have really nice light up mirrors that are flattering. You are not allowed in and outs, so no smoke breaks. I have read other reviews saying people smoked inside, we didn’t have this issue. No one checked my purse at the door b Clearly a venue that knows what they are doing.
Love this concert venue! Top notch place right downtown Vancouver. Seen about a dozen shows here. I live in Seattle and keep an eye on who plays this venue.
Wheelchair accessible! If you contact them ahead of time they are happy to accommodate and reserve a table for you. First access to the building before concert as well as an elevator. I had an acute injury that I got after I bought the tickets and it was no problem communicating with them and making sure I was set! My partner and I had a table at the Novo Amor, sold out show.
Amazing place, sound, vibes, people and musicians from any music style. SG Lewis was amazing.
Awesome Place to go for a concert!!! Great sound quality!!!! The staff here is amazing, they go above and beyond. The atmosphere here is just amazing. I recommend reserving a table for those who like to sit and stand during a concert, as seating is usually pretty limited. The food is great, the menu is small but good options and good food and decent prices.
Fantastic venue. Saw Ali Sethi live and he was just breathtaking, had THE best night 10/10 <3
