Midas

I have been a customer for 8 years and ever since Bobby left service has gone way down hill. I thought about leaving but then a guy name Brian started. He was very honest and awesome. But wasn’t there for very long. Midas has replaced several parts on my vehicle that didn’t fix the problem and had to take it back in anywhere from 2-4 times to have it fixed. Their explanation “faulty” part really. Once can be over looked but on 6 separate occasion. You can not replace my time. They have also broken thing on a few occasions and then charged me to repair or replace. They will make you think they are doing you a favour when they are wasting your time and money. I will not be back, the past 4 years I have had many occasions where I have thought to myself this can’t be normal I have to find somewhere else. This was the last time. I am taking my business somewhere that fixes the problem the first time by providing good parts and service. Somewhere that gets the job right the first time. You take your car in for an oil change and it will cost you 400-1200 dollars. So disappointed this is not an honest company.

I brought my 2016 Chevrolet Colorado to the Midas at Hwy#7 & Kennedy about 3 weeks. I was told that I needed a complete rear brake job, including the rotors, brake pads, clean-up and service + a brake service completed on the front brakes at a cost over $500.00. I declined to proceed, but still paid the $30.00 brake inspection fee. I just brought my truck into the Canadian Tire in Keswick on Saturday, and was told that my rear/front brake pads were fine (75% left) and that the sqeaking was coming from a rotor that needed to be machined. This ended up cost me $120.00 in total. This midas will SCAM you, like they tried with me. I would have gave them 0 stars if it was possible. This is also not the first time, read the other reviews.

The folks here are polite and helpful. And they offered to drop me off at work and come back to pick me up after work back to their shop.

Midas charged me $600 to fix my rear breaks and it had to be fixed again by someone else since they didnt properly do it. Then they suggest i get more done unneccesarily. Will not come back.

Attitude is terrible. The manager attitude is so bad. The staff service are ok.
