Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Wilkes Barre

Excellent value, one of the nicest hotels we've ever stayed in at that price range. The front desk was courteous and pleasant. The rooms were clean, fresh and comfortable. I thought the window seat/"sofa"looked too narrow and uncomfortable to sleep on but my kids slept on it just fine. The microwave and fridge were very convenient. We arrived at night with no reservation and still got a very reasonable rate.

Nice and clean rooms. My shower wasn't the greatest. Unit was coming off wall when turn off/on. If you're a light sleeper bring ear plugs. Cause can hear everything. But other than those 2 things. Not bad for price.

I stayed a week at the Microtel with my family. The front desk and housekeeping went out of their way to make us feel welcome and at home. The rooms were clean, the suite was spacious and comfortable. There was a small kitchenette and a cool window seat that could have doubled as a bed. I will definitely be staying here again when we're back in town.

Best place to stay in the area! The facilities were very clean, the staff was friendly and accommodating, and their continental breakfast was delicious! The only downside was that the air conditioning in the small, micro, fitness room was broken. Also, the spa wasn't working because they were replastering, but those things happen. If you are staying for a short visit, or passing through I would highly recommend it. If you are staying longer, upgrade to the suite, so that you can have more space.

Because of its excellent rate, we chose to book Microtel Wilkes Barre, PA, for our wedding guests. Thanks to Katelynn, the Wilkes-Barre, PA, manager, our guests were pleased & why I gave such a good review. However, the initial booking of the rooms through Corporate was an experience I will never repeat nor forget. Suffice it to say they were not pleasant to deal with, i.e. they took several days to answer questions, they gave us the run-around when we inquired about an  early check-in & they also did not book the correct amount of rooms. They were quite careless. Because I had to book initially through Corporate, I would not recommend Microtel for any large group booking. I would, however,  recommend staying at & dealing directly with the Wilkes Barre, PA, location because of Katelynn & her staff. They saved an important part of our day!
