Holiday Inn Express Wilkes-Barre/Scranton(Airport)

After over a decade of traveling for work, this is the first hotel where I've checked out within an hour of checking in. I checked in late on a Sunday night and when the elevator door opened to my floor I was greeted by a terrible smell. I hoped it was only in the hallway but was disappointed to find my room smelled equally as horrible. Not only that, the room looked dirty and there were stains on the furniture. On a positive note, the gentleman working the front desk was very polite and gave me no grief when I asked to check out just minutes after checking in. Fortunately, I found another Holiday Inn Express nearby that was great. Unfortunately, by making reservations here first, I wasted a couple hours of my time on a long day of travel.

They were kind enough to just us stay late so we could watch the early Sunday morning football game. We are very grateful! We enjoyed our stay.

Excellent service, very clean and convenient. Despite what other reviewers said, I had full complimentary access to the shuttle despite booking and paying through Expedia. They even took me to the convenience store for free. Staff is super friendly and breakfast was not bad. My only gripe is that the bed wasn't the most comfortable, but I didn't have any problems sleeping on it.
