EDIT: got a call from the franchise owner the next day inquiring about the whole experience and we discussed it. He seems to care very much about his stores' reputation and providing the best possible service for his clients and I respect that. It makes up for the store manager's rudeness and rigidity. He agreed that his manager behaved rudely and that putting the plastic wrap back on the box was not worth a 15% restocking fee. He even offered a $6 credit off my next purchase if I decide to go there again, so I went back and got the correct part with the discount. The sales person was quite pleasant and professional and the part does its job well. Considering that such employee behaviour is scrutinized by owners I would consider shopping there again. Up to 3 stars from 1! Really rude customer service with abusive return/exchange policy. I bought a drive enclosure and noticed when I opened it at home it was the wrong size. Called to check if it could be exchanged for the right size and the lady on the phone (store manager) insisted on charging a 15% wrapping fee because I had removed the plastic wrap from the box. It cost less than 50 cents to put it back on and it didn't matter to her that I was exchanging for the correct product. It didn't even matter that their website had no information about the drive size. She was even yelling at me on the phone, and being quite rude. I decided to just return the drive and take the 15% hit cause I did not want to deal with these people if anything went wrong with the replacement product. It cost me $6 to learn not to waste another cent there. I say money well spent!

Unless you're desperate don't bother. I've never been to a store before that questions the fact that customers have concerns and questions, until I went here.

Very bad return services. Got a friend who bought a high-end PC from them but got trouble with a video card that was baddly installed (Trainee jobs...) Now my friend is struggling and fighting with Microbytes Laval to get the defect video card changed. Microbytes staff did admit their mistake but are doing nothing to fix things...

Excellent service and extremely helpful staff that doesn't try to upsell you. They give their professional opinion which I highly respect. I've used their services twice so far to build a PC and I'll definitely be using them again!
