The cashier at the front earns this store the only two stars this store deserves. The Geek Squad agent at the back fobbed us off to customer service for a part exchange after a 20 minute wait for anyone to acknowledge us. We go to customer service who are confused and said he was supposed to process the exchange at the Geek Squad counter. So we had to go back again and wait behind someone else again, only told to wait before he would speak to us after he was finished. He slowly packed up everything at his station and moseyed along back for a cool drink of water before coming back and trying to charge us for a new processor. We told him the model and it was for exchange and he wasn't sure that they sold them and proceeded to spend 10 minutes going through every box he had and reading them twice and then slowly walking us to the front cash, but not without stopping to say we shouldn't follow him down the aisle for the cash he was taking to get to customer service and to go around and to the seperate returns cash even though we were being served by the nice lady at the cash.
I had an extremely disappointing experience at the Best Buy Laval store, which unfortunately warrants a very low rating. The store failed to honor Best Buy's well-advertised in-store policies, citing that the information on the Best Buy website was outdated. This lack of consistency not only undermines trust but also creates a frustrating shopping experience for customers who take the time to visit the store based on the information provided online.nnThis experience highlights why many consumers are turning to online shopping alternatives like Amazon, where policies and customer expectations are more reliably met. The convenience and transparency offered online are in stark contrast to the service I encountered at this Best Buy location, where the commitment to customer satisfaction appears to be lacking. I hope for improvement, but for now, I am left with no choice but to recommend that others shop elsewhere to avoid similar frustrations.
Went laptop shopping for school and found many choices in all price ranges. Staff aren’t that knowledgeable compared to the branch is Rosemere. Prices are better than other stores and customer service is great and helpful
On Boxing Day, my fiancé and I went into the Laval Best Buy to order our appliances. We are starting from scratch so we needed everything. We selected a delivery date for early March since we wouldn’t be moved in until then. March comes around. Our stove and dishwasher come with no issues. Our fridge however had a damaged plug. The delivery person suggested we refuse it and we agreed to request an exchange. The store called me to arrange for a delivery. The earliest availability was April 20th since the fridge was back ordered. I contacted customer service to be compensated for the inconvenience which they did via gift card. Fast forward to April, I get an automated phone call on April 11th advising me that my fridge is going to be delivered on Friday, April 12th. They changed the delivery date without contacting me and without my permission. I called customer service to try and fix the delivery date but it was too late. Luckily I was able to send my father over to my home that Friday to accept the fridge on our behalf. I get a call saying no one was home and that I need to call Best Buy for a re-delivery. We schedule the delivery date for April 20th. My fiancé and I spend the entire day home waiting for our fridge. We called customer service and were told we were the next delivery. Then a few hours later we call again only to be told that no one was home when they attempted the delivery. No one called us or rang our doorbell. A note was left saying they passed by at 5pm which was odd because I had family leave my home at 5:20 and the note was not there. Once again we are given apologies from customer service and are told to re-schedule again. We select April 27th. We wait around all day AGAIN. Only to be told that no one was home again even though we quite literally sat at the front of our house waiting - no truck drove by. After another call to customer service we were told our fridge was never loaded onto the truck because it was damaged.nWe schedule a fifth delivery for May 4th which happened to be a religious holiday for us. We stay home all day, the fridge finally comes and it’s damaged AGAIN. This time it was severely scratched and dented. Customer service directed us to go in-store to get this resolved. We get a call from the store telling us our fridge is now back ordered and we have to come choose another model. We go in, pick a model, explain the situation to the manager in store, request compensation for this ridiculous situation and the manager simply says he can only exchange or refund us. Compensation needs to be taken care of by customer service. He also down played the situation and said that it was completely normal that we were going through this. He jokingly told us about another customer who had to place three orders at once for the same item to make sure it came in good condition he ended up getting 2/3 damaged. How is this normal? We’ve had multiple conversations with customer service about this. They claim to escalate the issue but I’ve never been contacted by someone in a higher position except for the one time back in March. They do not have anyone you can speak to over the phone aside from customer service agents. Everything is supposedly done through email. I finally get in touch with a higher up today by email only to be told that the matter needs to be resolved in store and that the manager in store misinformed us. Everyone at Best Buy is giving us the run around. They are completely unsympathetic to the fact that we are living in our home three months going on four without a fridge. Hundreds of dollars worth of groceries have been wasted. Five failed delivery attempts with three damaged fridges. Major lack of communication in every department store level, customer service level, and third party delivery company. They aren’t taking accountability or responsibility for their company’s continuous mistakes. A measly $200 gift card is not sufficient at this point. When I requested for more to be done I was told they only do so in exceptional cases.. is this not an exceptional case?
Don’t get scammed into paying a restocking fee. The website clearly states the fee is only charged if the item is not returned in its original packaging. They try to strong arm you and then they fold when they see you don’t give in. Complete scam. Go anywhere else.
