Metro

This Metro is my local grocery store. It is a little less corporate than most. That may sound like "they have a nice personality" but that's not what it's like. It is randomly crazy filled (customers not staff) and often out of things that vex BUT man are they nice! I'll ask for something I honestly looked for 3 different ways, and they'll point right there, and there it is. No eye rolls, no smirks, no shame. And when they are out of stuff they apologize so nicely.

Clean store with some great sales. Being a Toronto grocery store it does not have the vast and unlimited options that you can find in the 'burbs so sometimes they don't have the specific item that I want but that is something that is the norm here in TO. What they do have is fresh, easily accessible and at a relatively good price. They regularly have super sales on items (I's talking about a more than a dollar per item savings here, not $0.25) which then means that the shelves get cleared off and they can have some holes but I can live with that. There always seems to be enough staff on the cash registers so there is not a huge line (unlike the one near College Station where the lines usually run more than 20 people deep on every cash open). All in all one of my go to stores.

You could count on everything being always fresh. I would definitely recommend it to anyone

This place is middle of the everything. Middle quality produce. Mid price. Stock is adequate. Deli so-so. But it's close and convenient. Is there anything they Excel at? No, not really.

Very friendly staff makes this place feel like your local market. And now with beer! Will need updating before too long - but that's just cosmetic.
