Mesa Familiar

Just had the most amazing experience dining at Mesa. The margaritas were excellent, the food was amazing! Super easy to make reservations online. Also they had a huge rotating specials board and we got to try a roasted cumin cauliflower for an appy this evening. Our server was so friendly and service was so quick. I went home with a very full belly and can't wait to go back! Awesome vegetarian options too!

Really love this restaurant! I’ve had the smothered burritos and they are unreal. They also have a cute happy hour with palomas which were incredible. All the meats we’ve tried have been incredible. I can’t remember the name of one but it was like a pulled beef and it was next level. Highly recommend this spot!

The salsa was good! I prefer chunky guacamole over more smooth one, the flavour has strong pepper taste in it which I didn’t like it that much. The enchiladas were ok good not too much flavour. Kinda disappointed at the pork stew cuz the meat is some sort of preserved smoked meat which is too salty for me. The flavour of the stew is good tho!

I ordered from Mesa yesterday as a treat for myself. The enchiladas were delicious and the rice and beans were the best I have ever had. It was just the right kind of spice level for me. The portion was also huge, and the prices were reasonable given today’s outrageous food prices. The server who handed me my food was kind and pleasant. Thank-you Mesa Familiar for making my special treat to myself a great experience. Parking: There was tons of parking outside at Gladstone with disability parking area too.

Edit: this is one of the best things you can order on skip the dishes! Nicely done. Pork carnitas enchiladas with black beans and rice. Couldn't eat it all! Will be back to try more of the menu! Enchiladas were awesome! Hibiscus margaritas! It was hard to choose what to eat because couldn't see the Blackboard from where we sat and the server didn't know the fresh sheet. Its awkward. Basically have to take a picture with your phone or stand in the middle of the room staring at the board.

We were recommended Mesa Familiar from a friend and we're we went! It's a small, cozy spot with delicious, fresh food. It's also fairly priced for the taste and generous serving sizes. Not to mention the welcoming and friendly staff & service I highly recommend the enchiladas!

We had great hopes this little Mexican food restaurant would be good. Food served warm, not hot, rice was old and had lots of hard gains in it. My partner pointed out it was a good thing that he didn't have shell fish allergies as our orders were mixed up. Service was efficient but unfriendly. Will not be back.Food: 2/5

We went to Mesa for dinner on a weekday. The service was extremely slow, and when it came time to pay the waitress said she'd bring the machine and then never came back. We had to go up to ask again. Then she could not figure out how to divide the bill properly. I ordered the lime shrimp enchiladas came with rice and beans and the rice was dry and clumpy but the rest was fine if a little cold by the time it reached us. The hibiscus margarita was decent. Won't be returning.

Great atmosphere, couldn’t really ask for better, sweeter staff. The tacos, chips and salsas were top notch and they were giving away a banger black bean chorizo soup because it was cold out. Community oriented, affordable prices, about as good as it gets.

Disappointed !! The waiters were not giving a lot of attention. Even not a thanks and goodbye at the end.... We waited 30 min after ordering two bowls to be served. Don't worry, they were at the table in 2 min when it was bill time. Only good point : food was fine. My advice: order to take out but don't eat there.
